How PTR kills off healers with 4 incoming nerfs

yes it does each dodge should go a different distance but i mentioned this as it was about the stam change and running away.

also in the video the difference between light and med is much greater then med and heavy

in fact if you go to the end of the video that shows all of the dodge on the ptr side by side you can see that heavy actually goes further then medium

What people fail to realize when they are happy they can finally kill a healer with little effort means you also won’t be getting heals, other than some AOE and hopefully a sacred here and there if there’s a healer alive.

The players out here taking a ton of damage are simply going to die so much more and you’ll miss your heals.

This update will be so interesting watching all these people die and complain about not getting heals or spending more time in respawn timers than playing the game

Yeah i can’t wait. So many melee players stoked about this change yet don’t realize how it’ll effect the health of healers from PvE to PvP.

These changes are awful and only to appease players who complain they can’t kill healers, yet many builds let you 1 shot healers in current meta. Healers are legit killable with chain CC builds yet being nerfed even further now. Unreal. devs want to find a new job it seems cause this game won’t last another 6 months imo.

Oh they are killable by peoples auto attacks now, just 1 guy can auto attack a healer after 1 cc

I mean i get why they wanted this change but it very clearly wasnt thought through how it would affect wars and mutations, like yes people will try to adapt but people will die so much more and many will be so frustrated with all the dying they do if they dont have a healer who is above this giant skill gap they made that more will stop playing

I mean the game is already losing a bit of players but now letting people die more is a big change to combat and i get why some think it will be good but there is still burst damage and now literally no way to counter it other than hiding. Heals were the only potential way to be able to play with a little less fear of being blown up.

The change will come soon enough but i just dont see it being positive, even from a non healer perspective. I think dex will thrive as they lacked heals though, so gl to all melee :frowning:

Melees think they will be chasing healers.

They will be trying to sneak around undetected from enemy muskets. Groups of five hiding in the trees and on the cliffs.

Five charges of Crippling Powder Burn to cripple your dodge and run. Empowered Shooter Stance with 25 rounds ready to snipe you.

yeah the healers who AOE will still play far enough from the fight that the melee will continue to cry that healers are still able to run away and heal and they cant do anything about it, not sure what they can do to nerf that

I mean healers will still be able to live if they AOE, so people will still complain but thats not the good heals that help them as melee, so basically they will still be upset in the end

after the lunge was removed from GA, everyone QQed and stated it was/going to be useless… welp…

after the Jump shot from archery was removed, people QQed and stated it was going to be useless yet again… welp…

what else was supposedly going to be useless but come to find out it’s not even bad or noticeable?

Really hope devs are looking at forums and seeing the feedback we give them, somehow i doubt it though :\

they have commented on most topics but nothing regarding lights embrace and directly healer changes that i have seen…

I know they are aware of the changes being difficult and not ideal for most healers, as 3v3 creators vs. devs i do believe one of the streamers mentioned LE though we dont know what the devs responded, he just joked about speaking his mind on it.

What is disappointing to me isnt the community managers letting us know they will pass the info to the devs, its rather the devs didnt even attempt healing despite dying so fast in the PTR

do they know how bad the changes are that they didnt attempt them? Do they not know anything about how to effectively heal to show us? It would of been so helpful to see them do ok with healing since this is the change they made and most of us who have attempted light healing on ptr just get wrecked if we go past the pillar

Thank you for this post :slight_smile: It is nice to know that other people noticed the numerous small changes that have effected healers. the phrase “death by a thousand cuts” comes to mind, however I believe something needed to be done about heavy healers in the game, Credit to AGS for acknowledging this and trying to address it. Looking forward to seeing how hearlers are adjusted in the future :slight_smile:

even medium ones can tank more, light gets messed if you stink at rolling.

I dont mind the armor but as people said it does mess up diversity which i imagine with the lack of classes is something that they were striving for; build diversity

the new healing changes mean pvpers and pvers alike will have to do more AOE to be fast and viable unfortunately. DE and LE still have a place but its so incredibly slow that you get interrupted out of it way easier than some even realize until you go on ptr

Light armor healers have no way to create distance besides swapping to rapier.

Full heavy armor has the same move speed as full light armor.

Other games balance mobility by changing default running speed as to give a way to gap close or create breathing room. Just tossing that out there.

Should heavy armor players be nerfed to a slower walking speed? No

Bottom line they have made healing not worth a spot in a 3v3 match I would rather have 1 bruiser and 2 mages then any combination with a healer. Dps and bruisers will be the only meta.

you can def do healer but you gotta hide or respec into more con than you would like but as time goes on youre useless and if it gets done to 1v1 you might as well jump in the fire

Yeah it legit kills off healers in Arena too, it sucks. Guess the devs just want to kill off the game by adding a cast time to Lights Embrace instead of increasing CD or anything else.

its seriously too much, im having trouble logging in knowing all the work i put in witharmor and everything is kinda trashed bc the only way to have fun is swap classes or just not even play

Yep agree :frowning: they need to at the very least remove casting time from life staff. at LEAST

LETS HOPE THEY NERF HEALERS GOOD!!! Right now they can run around and self heal, pot chug, FOREVER! Its stupid!

Up next: DPS who hate even the very idea that healers exist will now start demanding that all heals cast root the healer for 10 seconds.
