So, what I don’t know is: if I invest 100 points into Strength, because I’m using the warhammer as primary weapon. How much make these 100 points in regards of the spear? Is it worth 60, 70 whatsoever dexterity points?
I was playing quite good with that combo, but in the last time switched to spear as primary. So the thoughts are: is warhammer still the right second weapon or should I reskill to dexterity and then use shield and sword. So some kind of mix of tank and DD.
from what I remember spears primary is about 90% dex and 65% strength, so it benefits from both. you could use it in a 100% pure strength build but it won’t hit as hard as if you split your attributes points in both str and dex
spear is still good regardless because of its bleed and rend capabilities and if your using it as a secondary with Warhammer it will work just fine
sns/spear is also a good combo I’ve seen tanks use but it really depends what build your going for
You can see how each attribute influences your weapon damage in the attribute screen when you are allocating points. You do not have to commit any points to see how it influences your damage.
Thanks for the help. The most reliable way was really to try it out. So if I put 100 points into strength, I reach the 260 additional damage at the warhammer. To reach the same damage increase on the spear I need to put either 134 points only into dexterity or 100 points into dexterity and 40 points into strength. The full dexterity variant would give me no benefit in regard of warhammer and save only 6 attribute points.
The max dexterity build would give me 343 damage increase on spear and nothing on warhammer. Max strenght build gives me 444 damage increase on warhammer and 241 on spear.
Considering my max skilled great axe tree and the idea of the Triple-S-Tank. The full strenght build would be the most suitable for me.
