How to MASSIVELY improve gameplay with almost NO developer time required

You kinda answered yourself that problem is not skill amount.

Don’t see how having 5 abilities would improve combat, more like actually make it just a ability spamfest as in other games. Tho comparing to other games is not exactly valid and the combat system is completely different as brought up in previous comments. Actually I would say that combat where you have 2-3 times more skills to use is boring, due to losing actual mechanics with it and everyone just spamming abilities.

With some setups you never swap weapons at all.

Then you are a noob.

When I play a new game, and the game have to many abilities and options. I tend to lose interest way faster. Spacing abilities around, and formulating / rotation of abilities.

I love that you only have 3 per weapon. It makes the combat more simple and fine tuned, yet with all the fun. I never even once thought about adding an extra ability while playing. Can you imagine with a elite run. Participants of 30 plus having 11 abilities each. That means in a time of 30 seconds, you will see roughly 300 abilities been used. HAVOC!!!

This would require a total and complete overhaul of each weapon, as they are all currently balanced around having 3 abilities available each.

We’re talking a very large undertaking and rebalancing of all the trees, as well as considerations for skill points/passives. This would also greatly affect the gameplay in both PVE and PVP.

Currently, certain weapons can almost already global other classes, this would increase that to many more weapons. (Diminishing a large aspect of the combat.)

Don’t know that this would be a good move from several avenues.

Great Axe for grav well. Or spear for rend. We run 2 hammer/Axe one Hammer/Spear.

Well for trash yeah.
But for bosses/singletarget rotation you will use only one weapon with the best bonus.

No u will still use spear to apply rend.

Which you doesn’t need anymore if you have a greatsword player in your group.

Either way it sounds like a lot of fun to change a weapon only to apply one debuff.

2 weps 3 moves each=6. light/heavy attack we’re at 8. Dodge/block now we’re at 10. new mega move puts us at 11. Thats more than enough. dont want to have to be a stenographer to play the game. chess doesnt have that many moves.

Not a tab target game but I can understand why you might think it plays like one since the action combat portion of the game is largely lacking and unbalanced.

game will at best settle around moba level of ability rotation which it technically has currently w 2 weapons, ult.

they won’t add more abilities they’d sooner return the 3rd weapon slot.

Yes please. Add a third tree per weapon. Increase points and add 2 more abilities per weapon.

Let’s give each weapon a complete kit that represents the “class “ fantasy properly!
