A novel idea, but I think there is a solution that can really make the experience of new world far better for everyone.
Yes, there are actually games that have this function. And so far I have not seen any major disadvantages withit.
Since our character IDs are completely unique, even internationally.
There is tbh no reason for the character to be “locked” to a server.
Or at the very least, consider we can only make 1 character per Server cluster.
I propose this:
Why can’t characters be free to move between servers? or the very least the clusters you can not make another character at?
This way you can balance our the population. Have far more activity over Town-control.
And not to mention, Faction imbalances.
And the biggest added bonus. WE the players get to actually PLAY the game.
Then at the very least if our “unofficial main” has a big queue, we can just join in on another server and continue playing.
Most Companies aka the Censored word: Clan
Are organized through 3rd party programs such as Discord. So it doesn’t really impact that much within internal company organizations.
The only thing they would really figure out how to get working is making Companies cross-server capable.
