Defiant Stance Greatsword is the new tank. Watch. That tree is insane. You already can have leeching on weapons and jewelry, now they also get an additional 5% on top of that. -15% damage on top of that, and multiple fortifies in their tree.
I’m not saying it’s broken. But this much thought should have went into every weapons trees. I feel like pretty much every weapon we have needs a rework after this drops.
The onslaught tree is flashy and cool, but defiant is where it’s at.
Both stances ending if you switch weapons is the icing on top. All weapons should be reworked like this. You can have insanely powerful effects, but switching weapons turns them off immediately.

No one knows but one thing is for certain, the forums will still be full of crying nerf this and nerf that posts.
I mean does it matter what builds we will be looking at? The forums gonna be full of whining about X Y that claps their buttcheeks anyways :x
I personaly think we are looking at a Great Sword / Spear Meta ( GS will replace Hatchet as the tracking on such a large thing will be way better )
And especially GS brings AOE with it which hatchet doesnt really offer in comparison.
With Spears unrivalled 1v1 potential, stamina regeneration and GSs AoE, Damage.
Second im looking out for is SnS and GS. Absolute assasin build will deal bollocks damage as it scales from the same stats probably equally.
These two will probably be the 2 most complained builds about in my opinion.
