How would YOU nerf life staff without destroying healing?

LMAO…Wow players? That game had severe issues in balancing …shit they’re still going through balancing 15 years later… No one wants this game to be a WOW clone…
A lot of players want a balance…and if AGS can’t balance a game where each weapon has 3 SKILLS…man…they are in for some shit from here on out…

Only if I switch to sns to block a boss I have aggroed. There are very little passives in healing that make healers “more durable” , once again you have no idea what goes on with healers.

Perhaps the game needs to incorporate classes. Classes can be based on their weapon types and armor. That way they have a role to play.

Good game design right there. Guessing you arent bothered cause you’re a healer and you didnt waste pots trying to fight them :slight_smile:

Damage to the caster. That way it’s not just free heals. I’ve never used meteor shower but I’m guessing it breaks on damage as well? Would work similar to that.

The game will never be like WoW. There are no mounts, there are no raids, there are no weekly dungeon locks, nothing.
But we want a PvP that is balanced so focusing the squishy healer while keeping other guys under control is the way to win. And this applies universally to open world PvP, outpost rush or wars. The healer is always the first target and you either burst him away in a few seconds or keep him under control a few seconds to just nuke a target down. And currently neither the healer or his mates go down in a few seconds. It takes minutes or a massive amount of people to overpower anyone.

There are alot of bugs with abilities and perks, those need to be fixed first, you get it? Any more changes just lead to bugs. You don’t get to one shot any one? Cry me a river.

Clearly you are missing the point…The game ALREADY has a severe balancing issue…And it;s just part of the HUGE bugs that plague this game…They can easily adjust a Skills by change the Percentage by X amount…if a multi Million dollar studio can’t move a decimal point over a spot…this game is already doomed … Get it"??

Everyone is supposed to be squishy to you? No absolutely not, tanks and healers are defensive roles. If they nerf healers then increase our damage to defend ourselves with, end of story. Don’t give me that healers shouldn’t do damage either, FFXIV would beg to differ.

The only gatekeeping I want to do at level 60 is difficulty. I dont want to do the hardest dungeon only to get crap for loot.

Gear progression shouldnt be locked behind a time wall. I’d rather not play the game anymore and theres a lot of people who feel the same about it.

You forget that everyone has 2 weapons. The most common secondary for healers is GA or warhammer. One offers an escape and CC + selfheal, the other offers massive CC, selfheal and durability (damage reduction with multiple opponents nearby etc.). Learn the game. And the healers are super durable just by design, how their whole kit can heal more than a non-crit heavy attack from a maxed out player does damage. And this is not a cast, this is instant and AoE. And guess what, only a few skills in the game can actually move the healer out of his AoE if you land them, the healer is not stupid and saves the dodge for that.

AG needs to begin with fixing the broken perks. Let it rest for a week to see what is over or under tuned. If tanky healing is still outperforming other iterations of the support role then they can and should balance it with the introduction of either healing debuffs or outright nerfs to healing percentages.

I’d personally start with adding more perks to reduce overall healing and if that didn’t neuter the issue for a coordinated team I’d drop beacons heal percentage to 10%, similar to orb, and the blessed perk to 30%.

LOL I play FF as well XI and XIV the game has some of the BEST balancing i have ever seen.
And their pvp healing is balanced as best as i have seen. Even tho their pvp is the worst compared to other games…

My point was healers do good damage in FFXIV. And ffxiv does not have open world pve boss areas, or open world pvp.

Adding things to reduce healing received would add a lot more flavour to the game rather than just nerfing healing output

You know what? They don’t die.
They can use warhammer to CC and heal every time. It’s is insane. I wanna quit the game because of dumb tanky pvp.

When did i say Healers shouldn’t have a second weapon??? How does having a second weapon have a direct effect on their over all healing? Countless Vids being posted of 1 LS user vs 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 players…and they still couldn’t kill them? If you don’t think there is an issue with a core mechanic in a NW… you’re either a TROLL…or just a LS user who don’t want to actually use some tactics instead of spamming SG and other heals while standing still for 48 mins… GREAT GAME MECHANICS…LS is busted. And it will get a tune…maybe not now or in a few weeks…but they’ll nerf it.
