The classic MMO roles, the holy trinity are present here.
Healer is generally squishy and does no damage.
Tank is the most durable but does no damage.
Damage dealer do massive damage, but have limited sustainability and limited durability.
If you remember that PvP events involve a lot of PvE elements here, tanks are not fully useless meatshields and healers have to be normal healers that do heal and do die if they get into melee range of someone who wants them dead unless they get help.
This is the classic system. We do not have assassin type of builds here that can go as glass cannon and just delete someone in a stunlock/burst. We do not have control mages or pure DoT characters here, we pretty much do not have pure support roles that do not heal, but provide other buffs/debuffs. So letās stick to the classic system and make sure that healers do not get more durable than tanks.

On my hardcore server we have tons of gaxers and paladins in voidbent.

Pure healer arent the issue its heal tanks why nerf the overall healing when heal tanks are the issue. That will still make heal tanks the better way to play healing lmfao.
Reduce outgoing healing in heavy armor its not that hard.

All of this discussion, also ignores that as a healer wanting to function optimally I am pigeon holed into running a few perks on my loadout. Blessed and Sacred. The blessed perk(on LS, not in the tree) needs to be flat out removed from the game, itās an unfun requirement and lazy design. Obviously they would need to balance this with the current perks in the tree⦠but Iād love to have a less BiS LS perk.

You are just brain dead⦠where have i ever said a HEALER CAN NOT BE KILLED?? lol Itās the AMOUNT that they heal by that allows them to sit in SG etc and heal to full while being bombarded with DPS ⦠Any other game studio would see this as an issue⦠NO class or weapon should have the advantage to survive an onslaught of Multiple DMG dealers. Imagine a game where 80% of the player base rolls a healer because of how dumb the core mechanics are and busted?

My point is that the healer has to be killable by a damage dealer in a reasonable amount of time (before his teammates run all the way across the map).
And that the healer has nothing to do in the middle of multiple melees unless he wants to die instantly.
Just like every other support, positioning and timing is everything.
And yes, i like short, bursty fights where quick reactions coupled with knowledge about the cooldowns from the enemy decide the fight. Not the 10min long zerg where the side with 1-2 more healers finally manages to clear out a point because the other side made a mistake to bring 1-2 healers less.
For me the PvP skill is all about knowledge, quick reaction and positioning.
Heal tanks are people with full heavy armor with all the best defensive perks that makes them near unkillable with a single self healing aoe in skirmishes
Why do you keep failing at reading comprehension there is a known bug with onyx and resilient perk CURRENTLY, you keep ignoring this fact.
Best defensive perks? Which one fortify? Fortify caps at 50%.
Youāre almost there⦠best defensive perks, broken perks making the player more defensive than they should. Perhaps this issue is also being exacerbated by bugged damage perks? Perhaps unreliable cc, if not redundant, are also affecting the players ability to kill this player? Perhaps armor bonuses not applying as intended is also affecting this problem?
Clear out with the perk, which does actually work, knocks a healer far outside his ring of life. If only it was consistent. Stuns are chainable when coordinated ⦠if only they were consistent. IG + FS stacks on SE exceed max healing values in raw damage, if only the perks worked as they should? (Inconsistent procs, damage being reduced, storm being useless with certain perks)
They need to focus on fixing what is broken , before balancing anything.
I guess weāll see how things pan out once it gets resolved, assuming the onyx gem also gets fixed AND light and medium armor gets fixed so it actually provides additional damage and healing

You might have not played any outpost rush yet. But a heal tank is currently meta and this is essentially is a 200Con warhammer wielding heavy dude that has a lifestaff in his pocket. With 13-15k life (depending on jewelry perks), low cooldown on pots and around 2000 armor with warhammer stun/knockback/aoe interrupt+slow this player is unkillable until you throw a small unit at this one dude. His main job is go sit in the middle of the zerg or slightly outside, drop his AoE heals and in case he is having a couple of people on him - not ask for help but sit there for hours facetanking them.
Believe me, proper healers in light armor are totally fine now - they heal and they die as they should if they get caught.
