so far really enjoying the game for the most part, the only real frustrating part that I have encountered is when you have to do a hunting quest that requires you to skin a specific animal
and end up not being able to due to it being farmed by so many players.
I feel that with that kind of quest the animal should be able to be skinned by those that are there or helped in the fight. It is frustrating when theres 15 or more people killing the same npc and then only one person gets to skin it, so then its wait for the spawn and repeat and hope you spam the e button fast enough to get the skinning
This has been a problem even since Beta… I don’t agree with skin locking because people leave dead animals everywhere and it really helps me get my skinning skills up… but for named mobs maybe this should be looked into.
oh i agree on not locking the normal animals, but the named ones should be locked or at least skinable for everyone on that quest. its nice that they arent locked on normal animals.
They just need to get rid of the skinning requirement and have the quest animals drop the item on kill. At least then you can finish quests as long as you helped enough to get kill credit without getting griefed by people who stop doing damage to spam E in hopes of getting the skin attempt.
