Stopping the Auction house is necessary to spread any damage… imagine you correcting the dupe and it gets spread further and further…

I pretty much like the transparency. This is much better to me than “stealth” fixes and acting like nothing happened.
This Bug is only since Winter event so they dont have much work. In case of critical situation they can just do rollback.
I think they’re doing what’s right. I have all faith in the Dev team and think they’re doing a good job. These things happen, and action needs to be taken to prevent it. The Devs would know how to handle this in the best possible way.
After reading your responses, I’m convinced AGS is not dumb, that every other mmo in existence has been plagued with the same kind of bugs and exploits and issues and that Transparency is indeed the best approach and disabling trading and buying/selling is the right temp counter measure.
Unfortunately, the hate sites/forum trolls seem to be rejoicing over seeing NW get hurt as much as possible, especially rival dev studios (and their shills) who are failing to produce even 10% of NW’s awesomeness.
It was a misjudgment on my part.
