I’m done with OPR

I mean, theyre especially easy to kill since they only take like 4 light attacks at most to kill, and if theyre stammed theyre even more vulnerable because they cant use their shield. my point in general is that they are the easiest build to kill if u are ranged or arent a 50 con melee LOL.

because 50 con ranged players cry the loudest. SNS has always been cheese, its literally a wall that blocks all attacks as long as u have stamina with good cc and one of the longest stuns in the game. But now that people are getting good with it its suddenly overpowered lmao. The weapon on its own isnt much, its got mid tier dmg but good lunge and abilities, its when paired with something with high dmg like bb that makes it insane. BB is the problem, not sns.

people forget right click is a thing

Hold block dude. You’ll still have enough stam to dodge after blocking a leaping strike and a shield bash.

This thing right heeeeeere.

In my experience, people who have been using rapier for awhile rage the most at SNS because they’re so used to being able to slip away from almost anything, and leaping strike + shield bash is like a confirmed setup that many people just don’t(notice I didn’t say can’t) escape from.

Its not like, Grav + Ice shower or spear or any other weapon couldn’t stunlock a rapier player.
The leap is just way to fast and hard or impossible to react, I mean even the fleche has an animation, a much weaker and “faster” weapon than the shield and sword.

You know what has a faster animation or more specifically, less startup frames than leaping strike? Riposte.

But there is a big difference, one of them is only working as a defensive ability, so you need the other guy to attack you, while the other works anyway.

And what does that have to do with the speed of it?

It’s an offensive skill so it’s not allowed to be fast?

Riposte is actually a perfect counter to it because it’s literally faster than blocking, and the stun is guaranteed to hit because of leaping strikes recovery frames.

Because it’s super strong CC that is allowing 100-0 combos with ease. What’s hard to understand?

On who? Everyone? I think not after the bb tweaks.

On people in light? Especially with low con? That’s the risk one takes. Even with high con, if you’re in light you’re still liable to get nearly one shot combo’d or very close to it.

All it has to do with it is, When an offensive ability is fast that means its good for defense and overpowered for offense, if an ability only works as a defensive ability its much less of a problem since you cant just kill anyone you want with it.
You will never run up to a healer and riposte him because he will simply not attacking you, but you will run up to a healer and leap him and it doesnt matter what he does.
And it would be a perfect counter if the humans would be able to react to a leap and push a button before it connects with us, but thats not the case.

That’s 100% a case of “get gud” for a lot of people. Some people have disabilities, some people simply lack the capability to react in time, but most people can. It’s really not that fast. If it comes from behind you(which is bound to happen) then you more than likely don’t utilize that free look function enough.

And it’s convenient they forced every healer into light isn’t it. No option really.

Full physical tilt, 200 CON, max onyx ain’t enough. So what is?

No one forced you into light.

You can have absurd healing and less survivability(unless you use a rapier or IG

Or you can have “good” healing and be tankier in mudium. And still have the option of using a rapier.

You’re choosing.

bro it’s light. It doesn’t matter what resistances you have, if you have full resil, 200 con, 300con, all onyxes, whatever. You’re going to take a shitload of damage In light. Your defense is your mobility.

No one forced you into light.

They did. I was wearing heavy pre-patch with war hammer or VG. Between halved scaling and 30% penalty for wanting some survivability in wars you’re basically forced to hop into these light to be effective. With debuffs… I can recall times a nullifying oblivion would come and delete all buffs, and they’d get diseased, and I’d heal for 1.2k on a Light’s Embrace. And that was in medium at the time (15%). I thought that was oppressive. Guess the devs did too because disease got halved on scream for instance. But in its place came disease on hit.

rapier or IG

Bleh, cooldowns are too high to be worthwhile in any medium-large sized PVP. Much more impactful to run Warhammer, Great Axe, Hatchet (for debuffs + invul + stun break) or good old Void Gauntlet. That bit of survivability comes at the price of being half as useful.

bro it’s light. It doesn’t matter what resistances you have, if you have full resil, 200 con, 300con, all onyxes, whatever.

I honestly think Resilience needs to be touched up or reworked. I wish it was a PVP perk that just reduces damage by 1% each or something at this stage.

Your defense is your mobility.

This was true until dodge rolling got nerfed between stam regen and slowed dodges. Now it doesn’t really seem the case. You still got the I frames but mobility? All it takes is an Ice Storm.

Op is right. Bb has never been close to overpowered. The issue has always been the sns

It’s true barely anyone used SnS offensively and I told one of my company mates months ago offensive sns builds are going to become more popular. The thing is barely anyone was using it because they didn’t realize the power of it so no one complained about it. Now more and more people have realized it and it’s become more and more of a problem.

Bro there is almost no telegraph and these people just hide in a bush until you aren’t looking. It’s extremely annoying and it’s the least skilled build in the game with the biggest pay off. And I used to think muskets sitting on a mountain was annoying, they don’t even come close to these chain cc’ing bush wookies. Pvp is increasingly getting worse with the increased amount of these builds.

LOL. No it doesn’t.
It would have done much better WITHOUT any PvP

Here’s your PvP endgame these days and it doesn’t matter what build you are facing

Might as well go play that. Looks like everyone else is.
