I get top 10 in that off-meta build I don’t need practice, I’m not bad at the game I’m just ssick of this one build and you can defend it as much as you want but my money is they will nerf leap or shield bash sometime soon because it’s obviously cheap and annoying. So go on with all of your excuses. How I want them to nerf leap is literally just a few more milliseconds of telegraph, not asking for the end of the world and shield bash maybe reduce the stun by a few seconds because 6 second stun is absurd.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but damage done is a huge factor in scoreboard placements and that is literally all fire staff is for. Literally just farming damage and assists.
What it sounds like you need practice with is reaction speed and possibly positioning.
210 intelligence? It’s basically an offensive rapier build because I actually try and get good at this game using classes I think take more skill to master.
If you can’t deal with it now, then you won’t be able to deal with it after this change either.

People are complaining because they play with tunnel vision, focused on what the task in front of them. It’s easy to get blindsided by ANY ability in the game if your just focused on what’s in front of you.
People need to play with their heads on a swivel and stop standing at the back of the zerg casting your abilities.
I’ve also killed a lot of bad players who think they can just hide STANDING still outside the clump of the zerg for easy kills.
I have also been blocked and dodged by good PvP players while trying to use leaping strike.
What is weird, since the arena came out there is about 2x as much SnS user than before. Even when the shield was bugged there was less than now.
Usually 1 out of 2 fight is against an SnS user for me. And they are so much stronger its almost impossible to beat a half decent player, yeah you dodge or block his leap then you will get shield bashed anyway because you are in range. And then the spear coming, the perforate legit have medium dodge lunge now, its like the GA’s stupid broken lunge were.
Honestly I dont get these balances, they either overnerf or overbuff, its like they can only work with on/off switches and there is no middle ground. And if it wouldn’t be such a big problem already they also dont know what weapons need balance, nerf the wrong/weak weapons and buff the balanced/op ones.

Let me help you with that:
BB used to do a lot of damage in a short period of time. Now? Unless you’re just standing there and letting them unload on you that’s no longer true…and it’s no longer a “short period of time”.
Basic attack queuing is gone so no more following up an ability with two quick basic attacks. The new delay on the bomb in Shrapnel means plenty of time to move away from it and since the bomb has such a short range it’s now useless against anyone not standing still. Fewer pellets on some attacks means less damage. I mean, have you reviewed the changes at all? In addition to basic attacks no longer queueing:
- Fixed an issue that caused the Blunderbuss “Last Chance” passive effect to persist through weapon swaps.
- Azoth Shrapnel Blast:
- Delayed dodge cancel window to match the attack cancel window.
- Decreased damage per pellet from 58% to 50%.
- Azoth Bomb: Increased delay before bomb explosion from 0.5s to 1s. Fixed a typo in the upgrade description.
- Azoth Bomb
- Increased the delay before a bomb explosion from 0.5s to 1s.
- Blast Shot:
- Delayed dodge cancel window to match the attack cancel window.
- Decreased damage from 70% to 50%.
- Future Planning: This passive now triggers per Mortar Charge shot, instead of on activation.
- Unload (Ultimate): Reduced number of additional pellets from 3 to 2.
We’ll see how long the tyranny of chain cc SnS builds last. More and more people are using this build and more and more people are sick quitting pvp because of it, which will make it more likely to be nerfed so I wouldn’t get used to all the cheap easy kills you are getting.
Also there is plenty of abilities and passives / ultimates on a GA tree to catch up to a ranged player, and GA gets majority of kills but they still think they should be able to dominate a point and kill any leaf ranged person they want, because melee wants it all. Damage survivability and the ability to kill everyone they see. And I don’t even think GA needs a nerf because I think it does take skill to be good a it as opposed to the low skill chain cc SnS builds. No one respects that build even if you get a bunch of kills, remember that.
You know, it’s amusing that for months - until BB - no one had a word to say about S&S…and it had exactly the same abilities then.
i say this form the begining this joke of a game is CC BASED. lets say it all together CC BASED until they change this thing thats you gonna get. Plus its funny to talk about anything else then void gauntlet at this moment
True, combat based completely based around Stun and Stagger chains, the fact the these are so prevalent and there is little to no counter mechanics (i.e stun breakers, stun immunity etc) is beyond daft.
Its why wars are won with stuns and DoT’s.
truth be told combat needs re-coding from the ground up.
No amount of excessive grinds will hide or fix this.
Aren’t all MMOs with PvP about cc? What else could determine outcomes?
CC (and making the best use out of those high-impact abilities)
Aim (like a shooter)
Gear (no cc so it’s just a slap-trade simulator and whoever does most damage wins)

I mean, theyre especially easy to kill since they only take like 4 light attacks at most to kill, and if theyre stammed theyre even more vulnerable because they cant use their shield. my point in general is that they are the easiest build to kill if u are ranged or arent a 50 con melee LOL.
because 50 con ranged players cry the loudest. SNS has always been cheese, its literally a wall that blocks all attacks as long as u have stamina with good cc and one of the longest stuns in the game. But now that people are getting good with it its suddenly overpowered lmao. The weapon on its own isnt much, its got mid tier dmg but good lunge and abilities, its when paired with something with high dmg like bb that makes it insane. BB is the problem, not sns.

In my experience, people who have been using rapier for awhile rage the most at SNS because they’re so used to being able to slip away from almost anything, and leaping strike + shield bash is like a confirmed setup that many people just don’t(notice I didn’t say can’t) escape from.
