Added a +10% Luck bonus and a +30% Gathering Luck bonus to players flagged for PvP.
I was really hoping when they moved to PVX things wouldn’t go this way, but I guess they had to pick a side eventually. The giving PvE-related bonuses to try to force us to flag when I have no desire for PVP was always my line in the sand. Honestly, I am just glad they started to pick one or the other as the on the fence thing wasn’t cutting it for me. They needed to pick a side or neither would have enough content.
It’s cute you think that’s the issue people have with this update and not groups of the most populous faction camping the important resources putting everyone else even further behind… compounded with the nerf to crafting leveling putting the people already behind even further behind.
Pro-tip as someone who has played a lot of PVP games from Guild Wars to League of Legends - this update is going to shrink the playerbase and the people with PVP flagged on over the longterm. Enjoy that shortterm boost while it lasts because the fun is about to be sucked out of the room.
Not worth fighting over. I am just going to put it away for a few months and look at it again. I wasn’t trying to imply they made a right or wrong call. I just play games that fit my style… nothing more nothing less. I am getting older and want to watch tv while I craft and do an occasional instance. When I feel like I am at a disadvantage in life, I fight back… in games I move on. That said us older casual people tend to have more disposable income also.
I really dont get the PvE whines. PvPer’s get a 30% luck bonus but will be consistently forced to fight, killed, and have to respawn. This will cut the amount of gathering per minute way down vs a PvE’r who will gather uninhibited. Ultimately it is likely a wash and quite frankly a non issue.
