I am genuinely curious as why we can't have more Mutated orbs? My whole company is already out of them and logging off for the next 6 days

yup, it wasn’t worth taking time off from work for this.

Something about controlling players and gating them from the best gear in the game.

Their orb answer was terrible in that dev video. Basically hand waved it away.
