You should add that healers in PVE are fine. Its just in Pvp that something needs to be adjusted. Other wise all healing aspects may get nerf’d. I run with a group of friends so I main heals (besides when I play Solo) So to say I shouldn’t be able to heal myself I’d be F’d. Why bother with a healing option at all in this game?
Others can get heals but I’m supposed to spam potions & food to heal myself? & still have all the situational awareness to keep others from dyeing While being #1 target. I’d rather save a potion cd for mana on the chance I’m also dps’ing or using defensive skills & need more mana, I use a magic off hand. The only time I’d get heals is in a large group setting. Its just not feasible to have no self heals when being the main target in a Pvp setting.
My personal opinion on the matter is the armor, mana, or cc’s should be looked into… Some of us wouldn’t be wearing heavy if the healing benefits of using light/medium actually worked. Id take a little squish for bonus heals.
Almost all other games heals are always light medium armor. (besides Pally’s) & it seems like this game wants that also (but its broken) Having that squish adds to the killable aspect in Pvp. If you have skill to down a good one.
Atm I can go head to head with all weapon make up’s besides those with good placements of cc’s. If I cant cast I cant heal. Its all about timing. Or maybe they should make more viable cc options for Dps.
Maybe make healing absorption slower or less while wearing heavy armor. While keeping its heavy armor bonus. (takes more damage to harm) This would also make heals more viable as heavy plate wearers could situationally require more heals. keeping the healer busy & also running out of mana faster. Which to be honest unless I am dps’ing I have mana for days & I can not heal with out mana! Adjusting the cost of healing spells might make a huge difference. In all honesty here. I think upping the mana cost of spells for magic wielding weapons would fix a lot of these “op” issues. Yes, something needs to be adjusted. But not being able to heal myself or nerf’ing the one healing weapon is not the way to go. Especially since healers are usually #1 kill target in Pvp.
Sure! And then we should remove healing pots from the game so you have to play with a healer to do a lot of content

Healers cannot heal…

Simply the staff always add to the problem, healer in PVE is necessary and well requested, in PVP it is very strong for the following reason, after fighting these healers for several hours and hours, the real problem is that the holy land skill, when used, is in ground even with the change of weapon, with this in PVP the healers use this skill and simply change weapons in order to attack you.
Solution to the problem, after changing weapons the holy land skill is removed, with that the healer has the following choice, either heal or attack, because the two he will no longer be able to do.
In the tests I performed, when on the Holy Land skill he heals and attacks with another weapon, we did a test as if when changing weapons he was out of the skill, so my chances of killing away were 90%…

Are you trolling? Healers are hard to kill so your proposed solution is to prevent them from healing themselves?
Anyone who’s played MMOs knows that certain healing builds are designed to be hard to kill.
I’m not saying the currently implementation is good, but this goofy proposal is a waste of time.

people like this is what scares me… imagine if amazon listens to one of these plebs… the game would die faster than it already has… i’ve seen alot of dumb suggestions but this has to be the worst thing i have ever read on an mmo forums in regards to “game suggestions”.
Stoping the healer’s cure is the craziest thing, just cut the cure when you change weapons, if he wants to heal just stay on the healing staff, I don’t think it’s fair to use holy earth to change weapons and the cure still remains , that It’s my opinion, it would be the same thing to let me use Berserk with the rapier would be crazy, but removing the healers’ healing I find ridiculous, and I say more, HEALER NEEDS MORE SPEED IN HIS HIGH HEALING, the skill’s cast time it takes a long time, I don’t know if there is any system to cancel the animation.
and then u have to always get 2 healers for dungeons so they can heal each other… GOOD IDEA

Just add channelling to all AoE spells, adding void gauntlet that damages and heals will make the healing meta worse
