It is a gamble, you can craft a 500k piece of you can salvage it all. There is no best way because everyone would use it (and make it pointless in the process)
I don’t get the Bind On Pickup for replicas, and its not really fun to gamble this way.
Crafting must be reworked with current drop system is not worth.
If you have everything it’s a pretty good start, this helps you a lot saving money if you want to try new builds
so you can start crafting Armor pieces with 2 good perks. Craft it by your own and you will only need your materials and don’t need to spend any money to buy them.
Go to nwdb and look for the armor you want to craft, there is a drop chance for each and with that information you can use the the mods you want (go to the item, scroll down and look for the perk buckets). Every perk bucket has group (dmg, elemental, crit etc. and you can only get one of those perks per group, if you roll one thing on your Armor, the other get blocked). If you see a perk with a high percentage (like resilient) and you want it on your piece, use the second perk you want to have on the armor piece (mostly weapon perks) to craft with ![]()
Whish you good luck for your craftings!
And just one thing: if you want to save a bit money, get the GREEN schematics from the medleyfair event, you don’t need to put your attribute mods in them ![]()
They call it gamba for a reason.
If you are rolling just to make money, in my experience you should always force con and resilient. A 2 perk purple without resilient is pretty hard to sell. I’ve made almost 200k since the update selling my 2 perk purples, but 90% of them have resilient. Even with resilient having a high percentage to roll naturally, I’ve been burned too often by counting on it to randomly roll.
If you are rolling for specific gear and perks for your own use, say for instance a weapon perk, then there is a greater chance you don’t get resilience which will be hard to sell. A piece with insatiable grav well and refreshing or freedom will sell, but resilient is generally a must for most buyers.
Just curious, which recipes you using?
Timeless, event greens or just plain?
I have used just regular timeless shards in the past, not the event shards. Although I have about 100 event shards I’ll be rolling in the future.
What is the difference between the different recipes? Can you get Legendary GS 600 from event greens?
I am quite new to this, I have read some guides, I know about Timeless Shards that allow you to force a Attribute, but what about Event greens or what are plain patterns, please help me to understand, thank you.
The greens work the same as regular shards but they have the attributes built into them so you don’t need craft mods for the attributes you want which is nice. But they do cost a bit more in daily cooldown mats to craft.
The only way to get 600 with greens is if you are 200 armoring, full armoring clothes, 3 major armoring trophies, the highest armoring food, and the town perk is always suggested.
You can use the runestone stopwatch for guaranteed legendary crafts. But it only gives con attribute and is pretty expensive to make with stone material prices. Im not sure if the crafted items will be bop or boe though. The whole crafting system is based on extreme RNG that I personally doesnt like to waste money or resources on. I prefer to just buy some decent gear on TP that people almost give away because its not bis. Or get some gear from the pvp track.
If you calculate in the cost of getting armoring to lvl 200 + crafting gear + trophie costs and then the RNG factor I would say you are better off just buying the stuff you want from the start or settle for decent non BIS gear that will give you 98% of the same performance as BIS items
I believe the runestone stopwatch makes the crafting range upgrade to Gear score 598 to 600 from what I have read in other threads?
That could be. I have never bothered trying it because its so expensive. And if its 598-600 its even more useless
Yes you are right, the range goes to 598-600 ![]()
If you wanna make actual profit, try rolling stopwatch crafts with rare and desirable pvp perks like shirking fortification, freedom, invigorated punishment, Mortal empowerment, etc.
To make money from crafting just craft the T5 mats and sell them.
You can craft gear to close gaps in your build, like a missing perk, until you get a drop or purchase that is better.
My ‘strat’ such as it is, is to accumulate enough mats to craft 10 items, then pick the best of them for myself (which is not a guarantee it will be BIS) and sell what i can to recover some of my investment, and salvage the rest. The only reason i do it is because its cheaper than paying 100k or more for a BIS item.
If extremely lucky, you will get one piece that is very good (for soneone else if not for you). In such case you can sell it for anything from 30k to 100k. Its only happened to me a couple times though.
Once you are fully geared out, and accunulating gold and mats with no other outlet, then you can dabble in crafting to gamble that you can get good items to sell. But for most of the time, crafting is a money sink and only a route to riches if you win the lottery.
I used a runestone stopwatch. Got blue equip with gs 598. Much too expensive forsuch result
The runestopwatch is Not 100% guranteed to get a legy, i Craft 3 shields with 598
but its definitly higher
But now a days with the Event atm and the armoursets in tempest heart u have a Pretty solid gear and if u Hit 600 Expertise u have Drops here and there, now u get with Gips sometimes Legys too.
Crafting is Not a Must have now!
As mentioned above, with the event and the patterns you can craft 600 guarenteed gear or with the green patterns can use them as a timeless shard and fix attribute and a perk, with full gear you can get 595-600GS and some pretty good rolls which sell ![]()
The easiest way to make money is to run the supply stockpiles in SM every hour or farm a boss which has a unique drop that people are looking for (Ephemeral Seal or Corrupted Totem seem to be the most expensive at the moment on most servers).
