I really want to play both games.
Lost Ark is P2W.
But Lost Ark is NOT P2W for PvP ranked or structured normal PvP. This is really important. If you only plan on PvPing in a structured and ranked environment, the game is not P2W.
If you are trying to go for first clears, the people paying fat stacks will have world first before the 3 day headstart is over

100 % agree if you are competetive PvEr - Lost ark is one of the most P2W game that ever existed . And if you wanna only pvp - u are much better off with LoL or DOTA than Lost Ark which are way superior in that aspect

Well Smilegate RPG is doing Lost Ark for western release, amazon is just publishing it. Though I don’t know enough about Smilegate to give a evaluation of their company practices. They did “say” they are removing a fair bit of their p2w…but will see.

Well i can only warn people that John Smedley kills games. Those that don’t know iust look into this lad he is a nasty bugger that has tanked game after game.
lost ark is not different then diablo3 and it is slightly pay to win.

Obviously the NGE has stirred up a lot of strong feelings among the SWG playerbase. There is no denying these changes have upset some of our players. While I can certainly understand and respect these feelings, I assure you we approached them with a longer term strategy in mind and with the best of intentions. That strategy is to lay the foundation for a longer term vision of the game that will keep people playing for the long haul. Yes, many of our long time players are upset… and we do understand why. We’re not sitting in our offices thinking of ways to upset our paying customers… we’re trying to bring Star Wars Galaxies to a broader audience to make sure that it’s viable for the long haul.
