I don't get what this game is about

Let me guess, lvl 15 - skips over all the dialogue for the main / side missions, doesn’t do professions, and hates pvp.

If this sounds like you then you’re in the wrong game my friend.

Like any other MMO - this one will most likely consist of endgame pvp, dungeons, PvE world content, gearing up, making gold, playing with friends. If you are asking “what the hell am I doing with my life” then you probably shouldn’t be playing a video game.

Meh, just let him be.

Some people think even thou you pay for a product you are not allowed feedback, they look at it as all negative.

People like him do not realize if no one ever gave their opinion corporations would just take advantage of that and nothing would get better, bc people like him keep giving them money.

Sometimes i wish i could be that ignorant :expressionless:

trevis i play mmo for almost 20 years, so dont tell me if its for me or not. i played wow from 2005. i played before that lineage, i played for a while ff. spare me the words NOT FOR ME. 2nd the crafting system its itemwise useless beyond the bags and gathering materials. all other items are useless when u find better from drops. 3rd about pve and pvp content. except from 1 dungeons at each specific lvl range what pve content ther is? oh ok sry the corrupted events…ok… pvp? pvp content is bgs. not going with a group of 5-10 ppl to stomp low lvl questing guys. lore? the story isnt bad BUT what story man? seriously what story? other than the intro video what story?

It’s clearly not for u, u have complains that target the foundation of the game… regardless if you noticed that most of the things you complain about are actually in game…MMOs are repetitive by nature.
I mean I don’t even want to address the statement about crafting because u have clearly no idea what your talking about, as someone else mentioned the crafting system is very grindy but even with its current problem, still makes it much more amazing then any crafting system in any other MMO. Fingers crossed they change the way some base materials work towards crafting higher tier materials, i think each tier should use only the previous tier base materials rather then products… but we will see.
PvE content you have everything expected from an MMO, all the OW Shit (corrupted, bosses), Quests (both Main side and repeatable), Dungeons and Invasions. Yeah theres not 200+ dungeons, because the game just game out and it would be no reason for more dungeons to exist at this time. PvE content is something that gradually gets added as people explore the existing content and reach the cap. If they add a dungeon every month or every 2 months, I bet most people will be happy.
PvP content, you have everything expected from PvP content except arenas (1v1,3v3,5v5), OW PvP and the adjacent stuff, BG and Territory control. But since u dont even know about the existence of BGs…and many other things you probably didnt even reach your first settlement (where you get to see that you can sign up for BGs at 50), or are totally uninterested or oblivious to things around you. Hopefully they will add arenas, since its been a feature requirested since the transition to a proper MMO in alpha.
As for questing there is a Main quests [that explains partially some things about the island] and then there are side quests that explain the characters in each settlement and the way they interact with each other and neightbouring settlements. You wouldnt know thou if you just spammed E and as in normal MMO standards you have repeatable quests.

However I have to say it again, you are free to have your own opinion and believe whatever delusions you want, but if you trully believe the stuff you said so far, why the hell are you here? Go touch some grass and/or play some other games. Seems like a troll post when people that clearly dont enjoy the game waste their time (and other peoples time) posting this kind of nonsensical stuff.

PS: However I do agree, we need Mounts , which have been more or less confirmed in discutions with influencers. Mounts are an integral part in MMOs and its a shame NW doesnt have them YET.

With that as reasoning, every game is a waste of time.
Even plenty of real life activities are a waste of time because they “don’t get you anywhere in life”.
Every single type of sport is a waste of time if you don’t go professional.
Every single talent or skill is a waste of time if you don’t earn money with it.

See?

If you spend your time and enjoy it, even if it’s only for a couple weeks, It’s worth it.
Spend time to have fun and be happy, not everything needs to have a greater achievement attached to it.

I am level 24 with 53 hours of play time since October 1. Picked one of the new servers they added and have never had to wait in a queue to login.

here let me put a end to this lvl 60 in 12 hours thing.

There was an exploit with a elite npc.

Literally can google it and these forums were packed with people complaining about it. Was action taken? I dont know, but it was not legit.

Every game has a exploit of some kind at first launch.

What is the point of playing any game?

Just play it. Or don’t play it.

You’re not curing cancer.

Ya my post in response to someone that thinks they are gods gift and that they are the standard when in fact they are not as proven by steam analytics :).

Also good on you live your life! I just bought a new house and work from home so I can log hours between meetings and actual work which is nice also not married nor do I have kids so im not the standard “I have a life” crowd either. Even though im going over to some friends tonight for some movies but still.

Feedback is always allowed, its just sometimes the feedback is useless, provides no value, and ultimately does nothing but take up space on a forum. Which is exactly what most of this post is. So get over yourself with this “I wish I could be that ignorant” comment when you clearly already are too ignorant to begin with.

Right now - exploring, getting coins and ‘standing’ to buy a house, levelling crafting → lots of goals

Once end game comes, I shall see how all holds up, what activities/goals will be there, but I know from a different game I played, which had open map pvp and territory wars - it kept players plenty busy just with that. I think it is too early to ask that question, not while there are so many goals. It is the same with every game, it is the same with life, really. We need goals to work towards, to maintain sanity and content. Maybe some don’t find satisfying goals here, but I right now still do <3

whats the saying? every shot not taken is a shot 100 % missed?

whats it like to give up :expressionless:

Also, notice those boost to lvl 60 are not in game?

And then do it again! Then again. Then again…

That post alone kinda tells me all i need to know =p

Yeah… you need to know when to stop talking. Your points are irrelevant.

Bruh, i was babysitting my nephew and handed him a box of legos and asked him what he wanted to build. he said “what paper instructions do you have here”. I was like what lmao. Build a fucking house or castle from scratch kid.

To be honest, I have another experience in this game, and I love every minute of it. I explore every aspect of it and so far I love it. I hope you can find fun too!

Will always be this way. After reading some of your thread previously about scrapped systems it only makes sense. Shadowlands is one of the more recent examples of a MMO being more punishing to the casual player base (the part of the player base that typically makes up the majority). I’m pretty sure they have lost a lot of casuals due to the increased pace of the game, and increased punishments for lacking upward ladder progression.

If New World wanted any chance to create a solid foundation of a playerbase, they made the wise choice by designing the system in the manner which they did. I’m a bit biased because I did find souls combat to be a bit slow and boring.

Exactly its a beautiful world i just want to take my time,I am sure I will be playing this for years why rush,I want to immerse myself in the world not run around like speedy gonzales and telling everyone what lvl I am and how many hours i have put in…look at me everybody blah blah blah

Woah seriously? Rift had some of the best endgame I ever saw in a game, and I play a lot of mmos. All end game dungeons shifted and changed (seriously a wall got broken down from a giant spider and had more bosses/challenges, bosses were unique too) and there were already raid dungeons before it released actually. The raid they added after was a rift raid dungeon.

The hedge thing you mentioned was an elite dungeon I believe. I played the early release of the game and no lifed it. I was pleasantly surpassing by all the endgame content. They also already had raid rifts on release. When the developers talked about the game, they talked about how their focus had always been endgame - which is why the levelling was also so bad in the game.

A little off topic, but I wouldn’t use rift as an example for that. Now I do think people went through content insanely fast, I was one of them as my guild competed for firsts in everything. We were getting firsts and still had so much to do/ that wasn’t done. Plus you kept coming back for more because it was actually fun.
