As long as it doesn’t show other players locations, and only shows resources you’ve collected before, then how is it giving you an advantage over anyone? and all that crap about immersion is just that, crap. if you want immersion you have the option to turn off the mods and “immerse” its not up to the dev’s to decide my level of immersion, do they really think i’m immersed when i have to alt+tab out constantly to maps of gathering routes since i can’t see them on a simple mini map? And i have Law and Order SVU blaring right beside me? i feel so immersed in this, good thing theres nothing at all on the screen to make sure my eyes don’t wander. Daddy Bezos doesn’t like wandering eyes. So give me a reason within the parameters that I laid out for a minimap that it would be an unfair advantage and i’ll drop it. The map should not show ANY other players, it should only show resources, and only after you’ve gathered them yourself.
Agree no minimap in game is problem at wars and fights in open world, if you cant see position of ur teammates it almost impossible to follow calls, ur friends
but are you immersed?
You don’t need a minimap in this game at all, it’s not that complicated.
You dont need a map but every1 with 2nd screen git it and its fine. This game and its standards ;D
And if any1 says somethi g about ‘immersion’ let me ask what with all bugs and exploits, dont they ruin the game, your immersion?
Mini map is a problem but closing trade post or disable one thing over the next one isnt ;D ?
GG immersion
Right because “closing trade post” is only done to fix something that needs to be fixed.
You can get map with a single press of the M key, and you do not even need second monitor. The world is getting quite small after you play for a few hundreds of hours and if you pay attention, you do not need even that.
Something needs to be adjusted so towns are easier to navigate.
Even signposts would help –
but a minimap would just nail it.
Provide a minimap when you enter a town.
Alternatively allow the current map to transparently overlay the view (at the correct zoom view) so you can see where the crafting locations/npcs.
A compass that worked properly that you could remove stuff from would be nice though.
