I have been trying to test how healing bonuses work. Unless I am understanding incorrectly, there is a bug in healing bonuses.
I have a staff that says 251 Weapon damage. Beacon, Sacred Ground, and light attack are supposed to heal for 20% of weapon damage. (251*.2)*(1+.2+.22) = 71.284. This matches what I see in game. Around 69 or 70 per tick. (for some reason my staff says 251 damage, but 286 if I hover over it in the attributes window).
Equipping other healing bonus gear produces a change in the numbers as expected. However, none of the healing buffs (20% from dodge, 10% if you have a buff, etc) work on any non-targeted healing spell, like Beacon, Orb of Protection’s 10% heal, or Recovery’s 7.5% heal. On sacred ground, a targeted spell, with dodge buff (251*.2)+(1+.2+.22+.2)=81.224 which is what I see happening - 81 HP healed.
I did not get to test if 20% healing output from Focus is working or not.
If this is intended and NOT a bug, this is a SERIOUS description issue that needs clarified in the tooltips. If this is a bug, this definitely needs looked at.
In previous testing even before this, that stoked my suspicion, was the Heavy 3x10% buff. Using this, again only on targeted spells, I only saw a 20.4% increase in my healing - not 30%, as to be expected. Just thought I should include that as well.
