I dont understand the new changes

Are we nerfing melees because there are to many melees in oprs? Next patch gonna be more cancer than last 5 months :skull:

I think people complained when getting killed by meta groups in opr… not realizing that bruiser that killed them was just the tip of a five man spear meant to lock them down and kill them.

They complained… ags looks at data on back end… yep bruisers do a lot of damage… nerf them. Never questioning how that damage potential is created and realized by vg and healer backing up that bruiser.

Bruises stink In duels and stink in arena and stink in opr when solo queuing… but trust them… bruisers are op.

I still think it is about fighting RMT

Huh? RMT is no reason to change the meta…

In Fact changing the meta will only start a whole new round of RMT…

You did not read what I shared.

You do realize what the A is in AG? (AGS is no longer).

And edit for a defamatory comment. NIce desperation.

Huh? I don’t understand any of the sentences in your reply.

The a is for Amazon?

I edit to add more thoughts… what is defamatory? How does ags not want bots? If they didn’t they could easily track and kick them. They don’t… even when we report them

Now I see, that thread you linked was your own thread… makes sense. Why hijack SendNukes thread?

I agree, AGS even stated that they want to change the meta on purpose. The PTR changes for Season 1 are part of the way AGS is enforcing meta change.

Since the meta changes, as you said, a whole new round of RMT is likely to occur as FotM players chase the new meta’s “BiS” armor/jewelry/weapons.

It’s not so much nerfing melee, it’s making it so you have to choose to be a dps melee or support/utility/CC melee (bruiser) instead of being both, it’s bringing it more in line with other weapons/builds.

but you wont see any of them playing oprs solo

Actually, it is more likely because of too many Melees in Wars. OPRs already see few enough melee due to being more Ranged friendly. However, when you do see a 5-stack group, with healers/melee, that/those 5-stack/s tend to dominate the OPR, while the ranged just sit outside peppering players through the gates.

A meta war group has 12-14 medium bruisers.

Premades in opr are premade… the vg and healers are supporting the bruiser… even there it’s only two bruisers… so why not nerf vg? Just because their name doesn’t show up in the kill splash screen?

I would love to see Ags answer to op question.

No, they nerа everyone. All weapons. The nerf shirking fortification will affect everyone. The nerf fortify will affect everyone.

What percentage of players are really using RMT in a game with >20K players. If that is their actual reasoning than all hope lost. No idea how someone could really think that’s the biggest problem

Only GA/WH got a substancial nerf (overkill imo, but to say it was balanced is bs) since both the damage and grit from 300str got moved to con.

Other melee builds are still on the table. In fact we will probably see more melee build variety than before.

Personally I think that all those nerfs combined to the GA/WH bruisers were too much. Moving grit to 300 con alone would suffice, but AGS probably wants to shake things up since GA/WH is meta since release. It will likely be buffed again next season.

Here we go again!

20K CC is not daily total.

Learn this before continuing

Ok however many people you want to say. Doesn’t change the fact that less than 5% are using RMT and that is probably an overestimate.

The estimate total sales is 14 to 17 million copies sold.

On the lower end 5% will be 700K of players who RMTed through the life of the game.

Even at just $10 spent on RMT, that is a loss of 7Million dollars.

your 5% is very significant.

MMO=Many Metas Obliterated

It’s the nature of the beast and people just need to adapt. It’s nothing new or unusual in the MMO space.
