you can’t do the halloween activities until level 35. As for the rest, you could try doing faction missions, and using the Recruitment Chat Channel for trying to find more members to join you with the dungeons, can also try making a lobby for the dungeon as well. Crafting and Gatherring can also give some experience as well. Another option if your server permits would be to do corrupted breaches (the red skulls on map) at until 35 or so they also give decent experience.

I feel for you because the timing is probably not perfect at this point. Most of the higher level players ran off to the xpac and anyone lower than 60 is only seeing event people and those hanging out in towns.

My recommendation is to stick with it, but skip over elite quests and queue for the expedition you need at the beginning of your play session and maybe it will pop. The good news is that expeditions are good, but not required. I don’t believe there are any main story quests that require the run except for the first one.

Joining a company would probably be helpful as well.

Town boards used to be a good way to get XP, but since they changed it last patch, here are the activities they boosted:

  • Adjusted XP curves for multiple gameplay aspects:
    • Character Leveling: Greatly reduced character XP required after level 20.
      • 140% reduction through Level 45, then 160% reduction through Level 60.
    • Town Projects: XP rewards have been reduced by 75%.
    • Faction Missions: XP rewards have been increased by 125%
    • Lore Notes: XP rewards have been increased by 200%.
    • Gathering: XP rewards have been increased by 200%.
    • POI Discoveries: XP rewards have been increased by 200%.
    • Gathering Trade Skills: XP rewards have been increased by 125%.
    • Corruption Portals: XP rewards have been increased by 150%.

I agree with the previous posters that you should start a lobby in the Group Finder of the Expedition you want to do (Starstone I’m assuming) and advertise in Recruitment chat.

While you’re waiting, make sure you’re doing stuff during your rested XP bonus time - main story questline, faction missions (the first 3 you do each day give a bonus, Expedition and Elite missions are the ones you want), or stuff like killing animals and gathering hides.

Get the “More Bones for Barkemedies” quest for Starstone and check the Faction guy in Everfall for Expedition missions for there as well, to maximize the XP you get for the expedition when you do get a group.

if remember correctly, there is solo option for equivalent dungeon/expedition quests? coz that was what i was doing before.

I would honestly suggest just rolling on the fresh start servers in early November if you are a new player.

I think apart from amrine i believe the next dungeon the main story quest forces you into is the Depths…i don’t recall that being a solo option.

I can confirm the solo option for depths is active since i did it 1-2 weeks ago.

Solo quest it?
Use expedition icon on map to open the group finder (must visiting expedition), often players use it now days then stand in the entre to the expedition.

Depth have an solo option, I know that Tempest (main quest line) havent the solo option.

farm up a bunch of mats, then turn in a bunch of town board quests. You get better town board quests for more expensive mats/more xp when you have your basic refining skills at 100+. Do quests to turn in silk, wyrdwood planks, fish oil, salmon etc. That and any main story missions you have. You will be 60 in no time.

In a crafter point, those materials are good to have when leveling up your craftings.
I havent try out the new town board quest yet, so dunno how much xp you get on crafting though.

Crafting XP and resource gathering XP has been increased with 1.7.0 as far as I remember. Even before, I gained quite a lot of levels simply by crafting to increase my tradeskills.

You get more xp from turning in the quests. Farming just helps you to afford it. Between main story and town board quests, even do the dungeons at your level you can go from 33 to 60 in a week.

If youve got any friends at higher levels that can help you run through the lower level dungeons you can knock them off really quick for decent XP aswel.

I leveled to 60 from just crafting and gathering alone.

I did the same, I kind of like leveling my crafting skills up while leveling my character.
Sad that expedition gear are 100 times stronger then the gear you crafting for your current level.

What server are you on? Start there by replying in this thread. If you are on the “Castle of Steele” server, I will run you through the expedition with my Company members so you can get it done!

Have you completely finished both Cutlass Keys and Brightwood ?
Have you started Weaver’s Fen which is 30+ ?
And you have no low level quests left in other zones at all ?
Have you caught up with your faction standing too ?

You wont be crafting gear worth the material cost until you hit 200.
