There was probably a reason why it had such a lunge… It was probably discovered during testing it had to have that to hit something since animation is so slow… and then AGS probably forgot about it… Now it cant hit shit unless you stand in the middle and do those spinning attacks…

If bow gets nerfd no one will play it. The balance from aiming, arrow drop, non hit scan and tiny projectile pay off for its burst damage. Also has very long cds. Cant see what they will change to make it relevant in wars.

Sounds exactly like whats hes saying to me. Ga people just crying as they cant run around left click spamming and teleporting to people. I see many good gaxe/hatchet players on my server. They do fine.

Bring back GA lunge but also add back stamina cost for basic attacking w melee or tie it to a secondary resource pool similar to mana for casters.

Now make stamina tied to both Dodging and sprinting and revert the movement combat change made sometime b/w Mar-May of this year.

Pretty sure this would allow melee to hit targets more consistently w homing assist but limit the left click spam by tying it to a specific resource that requires management.

While I agree with the nerfs. I feel like they should have actually fixed the games desync and geodata before nerfing. Now not just great axe, but melee in general is quite terrible.

I was talking about the bleeding sweep perk. Not sweep itself, sweep itself is excellent.

Coup de grace is the perk to sweep!

Axe still poops on people if played right. Hope you enjoy Overwatch.

I played mage in every mmo so far (that had mage) so I wanted to try melee this time.

Today I tried an OPR with my original Axe/Hatchet build…

I landed some hits on some archer that got caught in grav well… 2 of 5 hits landed before he rocketed out of it.

I tried to catch up with a runner but bloodlust didnt kick in at all so he just rolled away farther and farter… When I gave up chasing him I got an arrow in my back.

I got caught in a stun so I switched to hatchet for berserk. Got hit by a voidgauntlet so immunity dissapered and I insta died.

Went toe to toe vs a melee. When we both were low on life I pulled out my ace from the sleve…I switched to hatchet and did a raging torrent or what the ability is called…didnt land a single hit even if he was standing in front of me. Died to a musket in the back.

GA was not nerfed, it was destroyed. The light attack animation is so slow so people can crawl away from it without beeing hit since lunge nerf.

Melee in general is totally broken due to desync and lag… You often see you land a good hit but the target walks away without a scratch.

GA start light attack swing
Target walks out of range 1m
GA swing is in the middle (killzone)
Target keep walking 1.5m
GA swing ends
Target keep walking 2m
GA swing is still ending
Target keep walking 2.5m
GA swing is still ending
Target keeps walking 3m
GA swing is still ending (or you double clicked and next swing is winding up)
Target keeps walking 3.5m
If you didnt double click GA player can now move again else next swing is still winding up.

The GA is damn slow and you cant animation cancel so you have to wait for the swing to finish… Lunge made up for part of that since it closed the distance some… Now its broken so if they want to keep no lunge they need to extend the weapon reach or increase the animation speed alot…
