Why you wasting golden scarabs on hatchet rolls?

Just use frozen shard patterns from winter event with attunement forced and stop wasting gold.

The perk bucket for them is very favourable.

1 person I know made 550k profit on 19 greatsword rolls yesterday, because they got 2 good rolls.

It’s because, besides the attunement, I also want T Strikes for 300 str build or Enchanted for some mixed str/dex build. But, after 14 hatchets, I guess I’ll go with your suggestion.

said it before and ill say it again the REQUIREMENT that crafters need to obtain the 595-600 range takes a lot and we all know. Trophies/Gear/food/town buffs/ and time gated materials, and everyone knows, technically with the set-up we could obtain 595-620. Why not just uncap the gifted crafters to help out this profession and make it feel good.

Allows crafters to go from a 20% legenday chance to around 75-80 (NOT ALL LEGENDARIES ARE BIS)

this provides highed GS crafted gear which also serves as a purpose to increase what gear sells for cause you wouldn’t need as many shards to level it. would also be a good catch up mechanic for some people. even if its not the full 620 end cap we should be atleast 595-610. make the crafters feel rewarded even if all the legendaries come out awful its still way better than rolling 15-20 pieces and only seeing a couple legendaries

I suggested this sort of thing long ago but the people who rely on gambling-crafting would never stand for it.
Reducing RNG would require the crafts to be Bound. Otherwise people would just buy RMT to either buy the materials or crafting, or buy the crafted BIS or near-BIS goods that would flood the market.

It’s not just the gambling element of crafting that needs to be fixed. Where are the materials coming from, realistically? Where’s all the gold coming from or going to?
AGS has never gotten a handle on botting, RMT, or duping. Gambling on crafts is their only way to remove these materials from the economy.
So even if they reduced RNG severely, if they don’t handle the botted and duped materials, you’re just going to see max-level crafters running about with BIS gear and a rise in RMT to get there quickly.

No other game has this issue because they have a better handle on botters, RMT, and duping exploits. Heck, how many duping exploits have we had in just one year? And that’s assuming that AGS knows about all of them, which maybe they don’t.

The rng is the most annoying thing.

But people need to realise how the odds work.

There isn’t a solid 20 percent chance of Lego.

All Lego rolls have their percentage chance from 1 in 300 to 1 in 33 with scarab at least.

Yes all Lego rolls combined will have a chance around 10-20 percent

On some items they have a few rolls that are in the 1 in 40 range.

Jewelry being a good example.

With weapons majority of Lego chance is coming from keen or vicious which accounts for like 2 in 33 chance. Weapon perks being 1 in 140 chanceeach ,elemental procs as a group being 10 in 276 chance etc

Check aeturnumcraft calculator for the odds, before you do any craft so you know what to expect.

And then compare it to crafting a capital ship in EvE. Or even a Titan. That is awesome crafting. And a thrill too, because the shipyard can be attacked any time during the long process.

Well ppl left couse of many reasons. And sure one of them was top clans milking free gold and making best items super expensive - but its bad deasign of wars and territory control. Not the economy.

And crafter are still there. Some pieces are still hard to craft and very costly for each try. Like freedom + shirking fort mods only cost 35-40k alone (2 of them).

Crafting with scarabs is ok. Its fair chance to craft bis or good item and same time does not make it super easy for some weapons/armor pieces. And issue with top companies was kinda fix to. Their icome went from like 6-9mln per week, to maybe 2-3mln now if they are super good on their server. And will go lower with changes that are coming.

And crafter will craft for single reason - you are capped at 500k gold and even with own clan its 5mln. At some point you will start to gamble anyway.

Sadly the bugs/exploits on top of the systems of the game are turning people away and that’s just the reality. AGS wanted to create an MMO so it’s up to them to figure out what systems work best for the longevity of the game. It’s not up to the players. All we can say is what we don’t like, hence what these forums are for, and unfortunately the alternative to complaining is voting with your feet and leaving the game which is exactly what the majority of the player base has done.

So if that’s not enough to show that a grind system to this extent isn’t good and not what the players want then that’s AGS’s loss.

I’m not saying BiS perks should roll everytime you craft 20 items, but there’s clearly an issue with a system that requires players to sink hours gathering resources to simply end up not getting a decent roll so now it’s up to AGS to figure out a better gameplay loop that suits the MMO they’ve bet millions on being successful so people actually want to keep playing.

If you want to have a game with a player fed economy, gathering, refining, crafting, PvE, PvP etc then start looking at what other alternatives there are to make it all relevant if it’s currently not working that great.

It could be you need to completely reinvent what you have or it could be that you need to introduce some new systems to support what you already have.

IMO if they offered additional OPR, 3v3 and practice war modes that allow players of all levels and gear to jump in and play without needing best perks, gear, gear score, lvl 60, then it means people have an option to play these modes straight away. Players can’t use any of their own gear. These modes could give the players the option to pick stock weapons and specific gear load outs for light, medium, heavy and then get straight in to a match. If players come back for this stuff then they may be willing to keep rolling with the current crafting system knowing that once they have BiS builds or close to then they can start getting in to the open versions of OPR, 3v3 and wars.

This is why survival games die. People don’t have time to grind all BiS gear and they don’t want to keep PvPing etc if they’re continuously dying. They simply stop playing. Look at a game like fortnite. Millions of players still playing and every game you start from scratch. Adopt the same sort of systems so players have something to play until they’ve got the gear to enjoy the other stuff.

Had the same experience recently.

After getting a set of trophies/gear I decided to try it - never again - it’s pure gambling.

I will keep/sell mats until the come up with a better system. I refuse to gamble with hard-earned mats in this way.

I honestly think lvl 200 crafters should be able to roll 1 guaranteed legendary per week (1 week CD is enough). 3rd perk would still be RNG. I’ve read about that idea here in the forums and I 100% agree.
