What are those stacked decks? I can sell charcoal and buy 3 of those trophies before they drop the parts needed to build the trophies. You would think after the grind to get to 200 furnishing it would be a little more forgiving/accessible to the general public to find the items needed to craft.
Me A little luck works better than high % and no luck it’s like full luck If you have a very low chance for something then just the amount of attempts will help. Gathering luck works really well compared to the looting crap
Then proceeded to wear full luck again and never got anything else.
Luck is busted, unclear and behind a RNG veil that needs to be gone.
I run all chests every day, or at least, 4 times a week and I get with our without any luck and PvP on/off: some reagents, grey/green weapons and a bunch of music sheets.
Maybe the sheets displaced the luck tables, but as for last month; I was getting the same crap with or without maxing luck.
My understanding of luck is that it only increases the chance of dropping a NAMED item. It does NOT have any impact on the GS or quality of items. So if you are fully decked out in luck it will help you farm Deeproot or Harbinger armor or any named gear. As far as I know, stacked deck is not considered a named item so luck should not help with these drops.
I could be totally and completely wrong, but this is my understanding from what I’ve read about it. It’s also entirely possible the devs themselves have no idea how it works.
The very few trophy pieces I got was by random chance wearing either PvP set or no-luck-at-all set other than the house trophies and 1 or 2 bags with luck.
their luck system and loot table is so unpredictable that it almost feels bad when you wear to much luck and that says something about the system. never should someone in full luck every get lower tier items i get it might not be the trophy mats or named items, but when the thought process is that there may be a sweet spot really speaks volumes to how the loot table system works and how demoralizing it really is
If you are talking about elite chest runs those don’t drop a ton of trophy mats, unless you skip all the little boxes then it seems to be higher chance. Just try to get your luck between 33 - 39% and go do some runs through supply stockpiles in Reekwater, or Weavers if you want stacked deck/armorer journal/the other lower tier trophy mats. I use to get 1 trophy mat every 3-4 runs when I was trying to collect them all. The %'s might have changed recently but just play around with your luck numbers until you start finding drops, then you will know you have the right gear setup.
I had a non-luck Ward set farming for named armors and after a few weeks;
AVG 1 named weapon or armor per 45 gear drops at Mangled
I switched to full luck;
AVG 1 named weapon or armor per 30 gear drops at Mangled
Sample size is about 800 gear drops w/o luck and currently at about 600 with luck ( and counting )
I was wearing full luck while farming Articulon the Unshackled and obtained a total of 17 WS pants in under 8hrs of gameplay.
I run the stockpiles in Shattered every so often. About 1:10 full runs of all forts results in a trophy mat. Although, I seem to get a LOT of adamantine dust compared to the others. I actually have only gotten a non-adamantine legendary trophy twice. Every other time it’s been adamantine dust.
Named Items, Tradeskill Gear, and Trophy Mats from my experience appear to truly be effected by luck in the long run
Edit: I incorrectly stated getting epic trophy mats in shattered, I made a mistake in my notes and put adamantine dust as epic instead of legendary.
