I got a perma ban in Closed beta for telling a guy where to find iron ore. The dude accused me of spreading disinformation and said he is gonna get me banned.
I opened 3 tickets and waited a month for Amazon to reply to me with an Automated ban appeal denial.
So I had to cancel my preorder and get another copy to play at release. Honestly i was speechless
I have no details about what you and other players were talking about in Global to be sure no toxicity or bad behaviour was present.
But yes, I have a feeling, very deep in my heart, that people bringing too much negativity and too much offtopic inside Global chat should be teleported to another planet for a small period of time.
Yet you still felt the need to complain on a forum of a game you claim to have uninstalled. And considering your post, I have little doubt that whatever got you banned was quite justified…
Maybe this isn’t you, but I’m immediately suspicious of people posting this sort of thing. I’ve seen numerous, numerous offensive stuff going on in game, from disgusting names to less offensive but still highly annoying spamming of all chat channels with the same message over and over. Maybe you did something that to you that seems unproblematic but to a bunch of other people is gross?
Amazon has been letting report get abused from stage one and their team managing reports is an absolute nightmare of disinformation, vagueness and downright condescension.
I don’t know why AGS is managing this game so badly but I’ve just stopped playing until they get their poop in a group. Wouldn’t wanna get banned for something random, assuming I haven’t already been.
At this stage I think a fresh start is their only hope. A Realm Reborn: Newlectric Worlgaloo.
Otherwise, I think their game will get buried in the sand. If they don’t stop the wild banning, if they don’t start dropping patches without exploits readily available, there’ll be 50k wandering around across some 15 servers and it’ll be doomed for freemium at best after that.
The auto ban is ridiculous. I haven’t been banned in the game. But, I did get a post taken down for “advertising.” What the hell I was advertising, I have no idea as I’ve got nothing to advertise. lol. But, my guess is someone(s) didn’t like what I said and reported me, and the post got auto removed for “advertising.” Of course, the email I got for the post taken down claimed it was reviewed manually. But, there’s no way in hell it was because there was nothing even remotely about advertising in that post. That’s how I know when they say they manually review things, they’re lying.
