The day after the summer medleyfare event ended I started having this bug were I cannot fish.
This is what happens when I cast the rope:
- Hook always travels and lands the same distance, no matter how far I try to cast it.
- The rope visually bugs out and goes from my character model to the sky (image for reference).
- When a fish bites the hook, it won’t move at all. No matter how long I press the reel button.
I already tried closing the game, waiting a few hours and logging back. Tried changing fishing rods, talked to friends and nobody has this issue.

Before I escalate your case with the Dev’s team, I want to check with you if you already applied a Steam Integrity Check files:
Let me know as soon as possible if you already applied it; In the meantime, I’ll search if this was already escalated since the latest patch. (∩◕‿◕)⊃━☆ﾟ
If you are using the skin from the Medley fair, remove it.
you can’t use the Medley fair pole either. Known bug, just use a regular pole.
