I hit level 60, bought 550 GS items, so I can farm 500 GS items

Great loot system. Now I can farm elites for inferior gear to watermark myself up.

Two people walk into a dungeon, 1 person gets 580 gs items, the other one gets 510 GS items for defeating the same boss, for doing the same challenge.

Sorry, why not just have fix GS ranges depending on the enemy/challenge?

It seems you just dont understand the loot system. Many Videos on Youtube

^ yeah there are plenty of videos now explaining how the watermark system works

Perhaps you fellas don’t understand my critique?

Watermarking can make sense in games without trading, because it means you need to grind that way up yourself.

But, alas, we have trading in New World. So, whenever somebody hits level 60, they can just walk up to the trade post and buy high GS items. In a month you can probably buy GS 580-600 for pennies on the dollar or whatever the limit is.

And here comes the problem: now you are GS 580, but the drops you get are well below that GS. Apart from legendaries all the gear you get is underleveled, until you do the grind yourself.

So, my question is what is the point to allow trading level 60 gear in the first place? You should either have watermarking OR trading. But not both.

He clearly understands it and doesn’t like it, which is fine. I still can’t decide whether I like it or not. Im fine with the open world being like that, but in dungeons is a bit weird idk.

Yout topic is missing the essence of the game. You are playing something designed around a core PVP mechanic.

But I understand it, because once you tip 60, you already HAVE your full faction gear waiting and ready to equip

I don’t think that never ending ‘it’s supposed to be a PVP game’ leads to anywhere at that moment. Even in their marketing material they put PVE now first.

And don’t waste money on the faction gear. It’s cheaper and better to buy from trade post.
