Awesome - being able to target group members without scrolling will be such a relief. The problem will be that all logical keys in range are taken. I’ll probably just use 7890- as I tend to move my hand off the keys anyway. 12345 would be good but I don’t think my muscle memory will handle a remap.

You need to turn off group mode to target players with lighrs embrace. It’s actually not too bad if you get used to it. The problem with that is that you cannot easily select your party members. With this new toggle and hotkey, you can now do that.

As long as toggle mode works as a modifier I will be happy. I dont want to have to turn it on before casting to have it start selecting party members. I want to cast lights embrace, hit “alt” or whatever key, scroll through my party members and heal one, then release the key and go back to no group mode.

I’m guessing it does not work that way though.

Aw man I didn’t knew this was added and I love it. It’s exactly what I wanted, just to bind a key to each party member. Looks promising, let’s see how it works. I also need a new mouse.

As a main healer since always, I agree with all this, healing should be LoS only. Even for the party heal, which is almost never used/abused, but still tho.

i thing it would be easier for them to let us choose what shortcuts we want like alt+1 for group member 1 and so on, or some times i want to use ctrl+another key to do something but we can only map 1 key into it

No it shouldnt that is the trade off risk reward. 100m is a very very long range. Use the ping system to tell. Its as far as the starting ramp to the second to last boss in tempest to the other side of platform…its a radius thats huge. You can use it in a fort and heal party members a fort width outside. Its very powerful. But yes if your party doesnt stick together its worthless.

No thank you. Giving up the 100m is a huge nerf for pve. In pvp teams need to coordinate and stay together or like every other class run pvp builds that exclude certain abilities. DE for example performs well in pvp settings.

Yes, I know. Thats why I wrote it - I just wanted to underline the fact that its very needed, Ive been saying this for months already. The “designated heal-button” I have to test first before I can speak about it.

Who says they cant reduce the range on it? is that 100% set in stone? As we can tell, patches make changes to the game. how could you forget? :stuck_out_tongue:

The ability is unique and useful as is. Players are asking for a significant pve nerf to improve pvp usability. We already got gutted in 1.1 because of pvp whiners. We dont need more nerfs for pve healing coming out of pvp.

Beacon, orb, and de are superior healing in pvp all with better burst hps.

what every pvpve game needs is a system that separate them from each other and have different profile for their abilities , in that case they can work on both and don’t make them weak on one side and make them op on the other side, idk why those games don’t do that already or is it that hard for them or impossible or some thing else idk tbh.

If anything all aoe should be capped at our group. Its one of the major reasons everyone complains about healers. No reason for every aoe heal from every healer needs to heal everyone. Either that or cap the # who can benefit at 5 per tick. Then you can open flash to 5 nearest party members or 5 lowest health friendlies in range.

Feels like a poorly implemented bandaid fix.

Healing targeting needs a proper rework.

  • It has to be be quick, fluid and precise.

  • It needs to work in a group, but also outside like outpost rush.

  • Partyframes need more information like debuffs and buffs.

  • Partyframes need to be moveable.

  • Buffs on partyframes and self need to be white- and blacklisted. While in combat, I don’t care about my 60min foodbuff. Right now it is very cluttered and not readable.

Why has an ability like lights embrace even the option to be freely aimed?

Look at a game like overwatch for example, how they manage healing.

Funny thing is, we already have a in theory good way to target healing spells with aiming via mouse, but it is so freaking clunky, that nobody uses it. I don’t remember how it is called in the settings, but I think a good solution would be to polish this and speed the target acqusition up.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy that the targeting gets some love. But please don’t stop here, we need more and better ways to help our teammates!

Tbh i remember it was fast healing before, you could choose your grp member by middle mouse then only press ability button then it would use that spell but now you have to press ability then press it again to apply spells, idk why they did this maybe for pvp players crying about it or something else but it was fast before now it’s garbage and frustrating that even i don’t use my healing build anymore.
