I left the game in the middle of a Gear Score train I organize

Yep

I just want to point out that you are very wrong about something

Your 596 gear score items will NEVER be nerfed. Anything already bought will never be nerfed. FUTURE items released after the next patch will be affected.

Your gear is 596 for life. Patch notes are important. Dont believe misinformation you read in global chat.

Typing stories on the forums doesnt make you smart bro. You’re wasting your time

nice

Yup, I hit 60 and did the GS grind for a few weeks before quitting the game. The entire endgame is running around elite areas and killing mobs and looting chests. Absurdly undercooked. I’m surprised there are still so many people willing to do this

i have quit games before. never did i then go to that game’s forums to talk about the game.

They do it for the dopamine and like reactions from acheivements .

You know.
Then they gonna log in next week to complain about more problems to see if they can get more rewards

The word willing is subjective.
If you want to have the best gear you either do it or you don’t.

If you think everyone plays the game just to loot chests maybe play opr for a few hours. Go fish treasure chests. Go collect rewards during events.

You are ignoring all the other content to do one mindless task.

Objectively you can get gs up multiple ways. You just chose the quickest way as a sure fire method instead of doing things you would enjoy or easier.

But you straight up don’t have to do any of the content fr.

That’s a fair point, at the time there were really no events going on at all. This was a couple months back. I also just feeling like grinding extensively on anything simply to get basically the same item with a slightly higher GS is a really lazy system that distracts players from the fact that there’s no real endgame content. When j stopped playing there were 2 endgame dungeons. Then there’s pvp which i enjoyed the most but wars were pretty much a battle of which side could exploit the hardest and pvp open world missions were so unbearably repetitive which made the game extremely frustrating to play.

Alot has changed in two months.
They even fixed the dungeon bugs so your dungeons increase wm.

Are you insane?
That takes roughly one- one and a half hours for 1 bump for ONE item.
I understand there’s some of you boasting here how worthless your time is since you obv waste it like this but don’t be condecending to others that think this is a trash can of a game.
It is.

Seems you tried to play NW like other MMO’s and didn’t notice it was different

Because it’s not.

It’s literay giving me the bare minimum of content to keep myself entertained.

On an honest level.
Has new world introduced any new mechanics?

The wm system is from destiny.
The gear grind from looter shooters.

The fact we have one moba style map.
They could give us atleast 10 maps on a cycle to play with in ope but we are forced to play the same map every day dude.

Overwatch atleast implemented 2-3 maps or game modes after release.

Why are they focusing on increasing the wm to 625 instead of giving us actual content?

This misdirection with nw is astounding.
I expect to see something completely astounding if they continue to listen to feedback instead of implementing stop gap methods for players to stop leaving as if they believe leveling trades is more important to people than playing the game? Idk.

Ive seen games crash due to the devs taking too much creative control.
You remember eudemons. You remember pets.
You remember maplestory 2. Etc

All they had to do was listen abit to the community wanting to play the game. Not get held up every once in a while to grind the same system theyve seen in hundreds of other games.

They could keep looting wm im game. But not so convoluted that people need guides for 1 pt of expertise and how to solo carry so you dont get bored of world tour zergs.

If you just reach 60 and complain that the grind is annoying/hard then this isnt the genre for you.

You see Nugs, the biggest problem of your thought process, and I can’t blame you, is that you played grind type of games for so long, that those companies actually persuaded you that’s how it’s supposed to be. And that is very very sad.

And because of people like you, me, and many others, garbage type of games like this one are coming out, people keep buying them and we keep telling to each other “this is how it’s suppose to be, MMO’s are grindy by nature”. But that is the failed mental model we accepted, forgetting that games are supposed to be fun, not feel like a chore.

MMOS today are literally as if you lived your life from now until 10 years from now, ignoring everything inbetween. But life, just like a video game, has to be a journey you enjoy along that entire path. What you are essentially saying here is that, MMO as a genre is something where you MUST farm/grind hard and then eventually, you will get rewarded.

So for all of you out there. No, games are not supposed to be like this. Games are supposed to be fun, mechanics are supposed to be engaging and you most certainly shouldn’t ever need to open chests for 6 hours every day, so potentially, after 1000 hours, you might get some items.

If we keep justifying shit games like this with arguments like “then this game is not for you”, they will just keep dying before they are even released. That’s why MMO’s as a genre has been declining on yearly basis. People have hobbies, real lives, friends, jobs, and most certainly, the majority don’t want to press “E” button on boxes 6 hours a day.

Cheers

So stop finding comments on the New World forums to reply to and tell us how trash the game is. Just log off and stop playing. Literally nobody cares if you like the game or not. You’re still here

Go play WoW retail. You’ll grind the same raid for weeks before you might get the drop you need if at all before the next expansion. Then stupid dailies.

I think the people who are QQ the most are not in a company that does things together. We come most days to have fun, chill, bs in discord, and torment the other factions. We’re doing the crafting grind to get our optimal peices etc. If you play MMO’s without interacting meaningfully with the greater community of players you’re doing it wrong.

That’s waht’s hurting wow so much lately, there’s no more community, just a bunch of raid loggers. Got so old.

Plus most of the grinds in this game are fun or just brainless enough that they’re relaxing with some music in the background. There’s risk, not with wow I can pull half the zone and kill it all. That’s not fun after the first few times.

See you around, hopefully things get better soon. We were lucky to have someone so committed to runs everyday in Covenant.

It used to be something you could casually do solo to not bore yourself to death, but they added a bunch of trash mobs to mines to trap you against the walls or 20 snipers to annoy you. Solo looting was faster than the zergs because there was no waiting for a group for 15+ min at each spot. Looting old mines and myrk would take around 40 min for a skilled rat, but its now its like 40 min for just mines. Pretty much every patch made chest runs in SM more and more of a pain to do, and now this is the result.

Zergs are for people watching shows on their second monitor not for people wanting to enjoy the game. RW solo is around 15 min + 5 min run to start. SM solo is around 1.5 hours. Imp is around 15 min elites where 5 min is just for the 3 at the top. Mal is like 20 min where 5 min is running there.

Loot luck is a trap that only increases the rarity of the drop, the color, not the GS, and I still get 600 grey items with full luck armor, 3 major trophies, and 595+ bags with luck.

They should remove the small boxes in the elite areas and stuff the output in the elite chests.

This was for the developers mostly, but thanks for the feedback.

Your argument about this garbage game is WoW being garbage? Is that seriously the best you can do? Compare a game released 4 months ago to a 17 years old game that had millions of subscribers for several years?
