I like doing invasions, however

With most people being over 600 gs, the dps is sick, and the invasions have become way too easy. I wouldnt mind a few random surprises in there also.

I think it would be really cool to have any of the following features, a combination of them, or all of them.

  1. Add elemental affixes to the enemies in mutations similar to have mutated have an elemental buff. Enemies deal X (element) damage so player will have to be better prepared to win, and take reduced damage from that element. [Every enemy has a different affix maybe?]

  2. Make enemies scale up to GS 620+ in the later waves to give players a better reason for having to grind more shards and doing PVE mutations/gypsum/ECR. The upgraded ward gear can also be used for invasion.

  3. Make different enemy types spawn during invasions on certain waves. An angry earth brute, ancient archers, new mini bosses.

  4. Add additional waves, or make the final wave a 50 man boss fight where all players go to the middle gate for the last wave and a hard boss fight starts with enemies (bombers, archers, etc…) push in from behind the big boss.

  5. Just add a random affix to the entire invasion as they are assigned to the territory (not weekly because weekly invasion affix will get stale) This is similar to #1 but the single affix applies to all enemies in it, rather than different affixes for different enemies.

  6. Make completely different enemy type invasions. Angry Earth/Ancient/Lost invasion.

There have been numerous posts with ideas for invasions.

There are two parts to it
1- making the invasion more interesting (ie more variety), Different types of enemies (eg 3 or 6 above).
2- making the invasion harder (ideas above, Could also allocate the spawns more randomly (so rather than 1 spawn for each gate, sometimes have 2, 3, 4 or even 5 at the one gate).

For making the invasion harder, I would like to have it graded on how many consecutive invasions have been won until eventually the defenders get overwhelmed.
The base invasion should stay the same level of difficulty as it is at the moment.

With increased difficulty, we need to get better rewards. The current rewards for a high gear level player are pretty worthless.

I think that adding random mutation buffs/ debuffs could lead to more challenging Invasions, like the longer that a company owns a territory each invasion after basic gets another mutation, then after 3 the mutation lvl gets higher and if you lose an invasion then the next will be a tier lower, and if ownership of the territory changes it resets. PLEASE LIKE IF YOU AGREE

The loot boxes are trash from invasions.
If there were better boxes and rewards you would get more involvement from the entire community. Right now you only have the same teams that run invasions because they like hanging out with friends or defending the one territory ect. Most companies already give away 5k x 5 random players to get more involvement in the invasions because they are boring as heck.

Taking out waves 1-4, or making it more challenging in the beginning.
So that we’re not sleeping for the first 15mins.

Personally, i would like to see enemy type changes each month, or something like that. June could be Angry Earth, July is Lost. Or it could be randomly assigned.

I really want to see a Lost invasion for places like Cutlass and Restless. It would be so thematic to those areas!

And it would be awesome if “ancient invasions” raised up from the ground so it would be harder to tell what was coming/where it would spawn.

Delete invasion it is the best way
Noone normal person like invasion only marginated

Pile of gold + loot cache chests that are found after mutations. Same mechanic, different loot table. Everyone gathers around to retrieve their reward + brag about the drops, or grieve about the trash.

Loot table with includes rare (3%-5% rate to obtain this table) invasion themed housing items (one section of a collectable):

Major corruption portal gate [plus ominous lighting effect, and then corrupted ominous lighting filter turns on when you get close]
Thorpe’s elemental sword [Glowing + flaming hot]
Caminus Gate Lord’s Greatsword [Yes, that oversized Great Sword]
Corrupted hound housing pet
Corrupted crawler housing pet
Tier 3 siege weapon housing items [ T3 Ballista + T3 Cannon + T3 War Horn + T3 Oil Vat + T3 Repeater]

Invasion themed cosmetic token [Redeemable token at a vendor shop]:
Invasion Commander armor cosmetic
Corrupted priest armor cosmetic

I think adding umbral shards as rewards would make players feel more inclined to do invasions

You could maybe make it, so the invasions get harder and give better loot the longer the same company holds the territory

Hello. >.> There is one problem:
When server population declines… you literally have issues finishing any invasion because participation is just impossible to fill. At 600 population it already becomes difficult.

With regards to house pets a mini corrupted portal that lets you click it and it summons a random mini corrupted monster. The portal and all mini pets can be unlocked from doing invasions/breaches.

With regards to invasions I think they need non-instanced versions where the corrupted portals in the open world send waves of enemies to the towns and physically attack the towns. ALSO, when we getting different enemy types for invasions and corrupted portals?

That would be way more interesting than instanced ones. I’m mostly going off the fact that everyone I use to play with who did invasions for a couple of months couldn’t be bothered after a while because it just became stale content.

Also, stable servers in general because everything in this game is pointless if there’s always delay between actions. Good connection, good pc, bad AGS servers… just saying. Won’t matter what they add to the game otherwise.
