I lost my azoth staff and I cant continue the main quest line!

Any steps that can be taken to reproduce the issue
Follow the main quest line until you get the quest to go to Harplass Homestead and test your new azoth staff called “Into the breaches”. Then, when you try to use the staff, it says there is no azoth staff equipped.

I double checked inventory checking all the places in my inventory this time. It is not in with the foods. It is not in with the herbs… etc etc. Then, I happened to check the tools area, and there it was! It is a tool!! All this time I thought it was a weapon!

This issue is now resolved.
