I lost my hype again

I’ve played over 3,000 hours and have paid $40 total. Worse cash grab ever.

Hahaha

For some reason I spend the entire days on the internet too since my work is also related to it. Yet, I managed to not press “Play” when I saw the video with all houses in Brimstone Sands.

Imagine people crying over their own choices? Get a grip mate.

I said this million of times.

New zone with weapon, expedition and few quests wont increase player base.

We need to be able to aim for something in this game. Fun, competition, story etc etc etc.

Competition is only for companies, because there is no ranks.
Game is not fun, because too low amount of modes.
Story is kekw. No cinematics - almost nobody cares. Who will read? People dont watch videos if they are longer than 1 minute.

Yes

Oddly enough I didnt care too much for FF 14 story which is apparently a sin, but I actually payed attention to the lore for nw and watch stuff. Idk if I was interested tbh but I did it because I genuinely care for the game. I might just be the minority though

You’re completely right.

To be fair, there really isn’t much content in the Brimstone Sands update. It’s just content that should have been in the game on release. It’s not a expansion, it’s not even close to being expansion quality. Too much of New Worlds content is predicated on PVE. The game needs more PVP things to do, and stop focusing on PVE.

Additionally, gaming YouTubers and Streamers are a cancer on the gaming industry. They leak mass amounts of content, exploits, etc. They’ve ruined more games then they have ever actually helped. I wish the industry would stop using them, and start claiming copyrights on their content.

Just to give a opposing point of view:
I would keep PvP as is and further reduce impact of PvP for PvE (skills, dmg …) and instead push PvE and life skills to the max with real world invasions, utilizing AI to battle players and create challenges.

In my opinion, PvP is a cancer and should have been kept as an esports category, never impacting PvE at all. But we cannot always get what we want :). So i am glad that there is effort to maintain balance.

And to OP: hype is dynamically produced by what goals you set yourself. Surely there might be something lurking?

Do you talk to your friends on discord?

Did you even read what I said? It’s easy to not press play on a video. You still might see the huge click baity spoiler title though.

Yeah, thanks a lot. Now I don’t need to facepalm anymore but can :person_facepalming:

You made my day. Didn’t know that this emote exist here.

Soooo, just a really weird idea out of left field. Don’t click those videos? If you want an update to be full of surprise and wonder… don’t look at content about the update beforehand?

Um…don’t watch them?

I know almost nothing about new patch ong. Why would I watch mix maxing videos about it already? KEKW

GTFO MY BRUDDA

So asides from all the obvious “dont watch the video” maybe they should take the same route as Blizzard currently. Dont release All the content to the ptr. Yes this is also a valid topic to bring up as the hype train is needed but can be derailed if pushed too hard.

While I think this is where they should eventually get to, I don’t think AGS is there yet. The past year has shown that they really need to double down and focus on connecting with the playerbase and working with them to quickly enact change. To their credit, they’ve demonstrated they have the ability as a team to learn this approach, with much success.

For now, I think having the PTR be public with players being able to get in and test things is incredibly important. They’re working on rebuilding trust with the community and they’re doing a good job.

In the future, I do think they should leave a lot of the big secrets for internal testing only until release, but only once they’ve regained the faith from their players that it’ll go well. They’re getting there, but they’re not quite there yet.

@hiyde I been playing ESO since 2018, but stopped in july after the news of update 35. Best decision i made. I recently got a job as a youtube manager for a new world content creator.
