I love the expertise idea - but will quit when implemented

This is the most important point here, it is a bit too late. I agree that this would have been great at launch, and myself would have planned around it as to how I progressed in the game.

But adding this now, they are invalidating the way some people have played the game thus far (weeks already).

If they go forward with this change then a server wipe is needed. A lot of players will leave, but at least the game will be better afterwards and no-one will be more advantage than the rest. It makes sense considering they have been updating early game questlines.

Yea, I think your idea about upping the gear score in the future (like 3-6 months) and then implementing the expertise system is the better choice. Additionally, I agree that I don’t want to replay the same content for weeks/months to get my character back to its current level of strength. It won’t feel like I’m improving my character. I really like new world and I’ve never really felt “doom and gloomy” about the game, but this proposed system really bothers me.

Link ? i re read both there annoucement and nowhere is it mentionned anny reseting WM
(but i assume there expertise level will start from our current WM)

Who is reseting your watermark ? There is nothing about watermark in patch notes … read it again.

This does need clarity, because it probably only uses enemy GS for certain things like Armor Rating and Weapon Damage.

For example if it applied to Stats then against some with low GS you would lose the thresholds on your attribute passives which can invalidate your entire build.

On the other hand the Expertise Effiecieny does seem to apply to Stats from the printscreen. I would be interested to know if a 600GS item keeps it’s 3rd perk when rated down.

You still have 200 crafting and you can still make 600 gs. Gear.

Now your 600 ha fear will have more value on the market. As people will can buy 520 to 590 gear or get the evolving 600 gear…

If you don’t wanna do the hwm runs. Then don’t wait for the gypsum system and level up on regular content .

Any official statement link on that ?

i will test this tonight with my budy but i think (hope) it only affect the base stat not the atribute point nor the perk. But yea if that include atribute point i’m going to be pissed of…

There is a post about it on the forums here shows the convo. It’s not confirmed by the dev team as it was with a CS rep but that doesn’t mean they won’t do it. Stated and asked multiple times for confirmation and everyone is waiting to see.

A yes amazone support, i have talked to those about transfer and fusion they hads no idea about what i was refering to. So aniway ima hope that not true has i would feel stabbed ngl.

If you busted your butt for voidbent or making a that 600 staff and your actual HWM isn’t 600 you will go back to that value.

has i typed i assumed that expertise level start at you’r current HVM nowhere is typed that it reset and start at 500.

The reduction of power here has i understand again, refer to the fact that you may have crafted voidbent helm while having a 550 WM on helmet, and with the new system this will reduce it to 550 (and it wil level up)

They might make a reset who know with them but i don’t see why they would do such a thing it’s not in the companie interest.

Which is fine, annoying but fine. Most of my slots are high enough and it’ll allow me to focus on the ones that I am unlucky in getting to drop.

You are right it isn’t in their best interest, but the last few updates they didn’t even take any of the feedback from the player base and just did what they wanted. I was hoping to get some kind of response officially on it all. You post the dev blog and it says just enough to get people rolling, now entire guilds be like all we do is pvp or our, we don’t want to get nerfed and made to go backwards to 520 gs to be viable again against the guys that did all the activities and have 580+ gs.

I’m hopeful but very concerned, the game has lost ~60% of its players since Oct based on Steams charts.

if they change scalling the way they sayed there going to change it, nobodi is going to get nerf (if everyone get nerf / scale acordingly nobodie truly is) i advice you look Morrolan content on youtube about that it’s prety instructive he did a lot of test.

And yea my biggest concern is that to, i changed servor for one with a better pop and now our peak is 350 player, the situation is horrible most of the time i cannot acces any pvp activitie wich is why i bought the game in the first place (i like bit of pve from time to time but if thre was none it wont be a real issue for me) So i’m looking forward merge / new token.

Ya on my server we had guys xfer in also from a high pop to ours which is a low pop for some reason now the majority of the server left but they will be stuck.

Opr maybe pops twice a night, and wars don’t happen. No open world pvp.
