You think they will bring this event back? I didn’t think fishing was very popular in this game 
The medley fair brought forward problems too. People playing music in towns near crafting stations, town boards and faction reps because the tip button was mapped to be the same as the interact button. To rushed or unaware players would pay them not volintarily but incidently a case of this new skimming or street fishing scam. And unfortunately it looks like its here to stay. The fishing hasnt been tweaked in the sense that all you do is cast a line and then click to set hook and click to reel in the fish. Fish dont swim left or right and go around debris or structures for the player to counter navigate. Nope its just the same old boring mechanic. A lot of people were simply impressed with the reskins. If thats what floats peoples boats than im sure their future looks great in their eyes. In the same way that im sure grandma off her depressants would walk in the back ally slums of new york to pet all the furry creatures. Homeless people. They were homeless people.
Only thing I will miss is the 1.2k-1.4k gold each day.

in my case, im not a crafter and dont care about the house, i only use it to travel… i bought around 1/1.5k units of atributte food, got the fishing tool the second or third day, nothing else made sense for me… will miss the 1.4k gold i was getting tho
And the free Gypsum though… I guess that doesn’t matter with Hidden Stashes making a return. NM 
i “returned 48 hours ago” and briefly, the items in the event shop did not seems worth it to sink time into the event tokens
It will come back. Its the best seasonal content we have had. I’m hoping Halloween is big. It is on the roadmap so here is to hoping!

Not going to lie but I see/saw more people fishing in this game (even before the medley) than any other mmo including WoW. Although I see some still fish in WoW but still. I think fishing in NW is the most popular of all the mmo’s I have seen.

Probably true, especially with those new hotspots. I would meet lots of people fishing although I before this event I only would meet like one person a day. It was so rare I would give anyone I saw fishing a nice purple pearl so they hopefully do it more

I have just one idea, much like the fishing weekends. It would be nice if a smaller version of the Medleyfaire would come back to visit for a weekend or a week. Like a travelling circus! Only in one location and moves around. Would be great if it had the same stations like mount a catch. Could be cool if rep remained from each visit but you have to earn tokens from scratch
I participated in the event without any particiular dedication to it (beyond religously picking up my 11 daily baskets!) If I wasn’t in a hurry to get somewhere, I’d stop at the Sturgeon hotspots that I passed near. Did a few Maudlinbug music performances when I needed bait, maybe twice a week.
I was max rep in under a week and last night, when I went to cash out, I got:
- Campfire Tent
- 3x campfire housing item
- 12x Spotlights
- 6x Those fire/reed furniture things
- 6x Lanterns
- Bunny
- Festival character outfit
- Mounted ~10 fish/items
- 2 Dance emotes (shuffle and violin)
- 7 of each GS600 pattern (Med Armor)
- 8x Powerfuil Ether Vials (for trophy creation)
…and when I couldn’t find anything else I wanted, I dropped the rest into stat food (almost 1,000 of them).
I think they got the pacing on this thing just right and am super happy with the goodies I cashed my tokens in for last night.
I hope they expand variety next year, I’d especially love to see a Medleyfaire Trophy Case item to put all my mounted fish on.
I wish I would have dropped some time into fishing up unique items to mount, though I’m happy with the Shark, Frogfish and Treasure Chests I did manage to fish up at the last minute.
I’m not much into fishing and yet the bite-sized 3 cast hotspots reeled me in. (rimshot)
I thought I would loathe the music system and would toggle it off immediately (it really bugs me in another game I play, esp the sitar music) but the music is so well done, I actually enjoy hearing it. Playing the Guitar Hero Simulator is fun as well - though I wish we could load in our own songs like LOTRO. Overall, 8/10 and best event to date imo!
Next year (and for other events), I’d love to see some repeatable quests added into the mix.

didnt bother catching wood and grass for these but tried to have at least 6 legendary fishes and voila ! its really nice as a decoration. hope we see decorations like these in the future! didnt bother desinging house since WW house is kinda lame. waiting for EF renovation so finally i can desing my house!

You wash your keyboard with soap mr. The winter event was way better than this. The medley even was about as entertaining as beating up level 2 pigs in the noob areas at level 60.

If this makes your feel better, this is pretty much the devs confirming that it will be returning next year and I would be surprised if they didn’t bring back mount-a-fish and the rewards from this year. Often games might keep certain items specific to that year to let players show off the age of their account and when they participated, but things like mount-a-fish and all that will likely not be one of those things. Again I can’t say for certain. We likely will get new emotes and skins perhaps.
Another reassuring thing is that all of the items have Summer medley faire 2022 blasted on them, likely indicating this will be a yearly event. In fact they confirmed the rabbit chest will be returning and Turkulon is returning this year. So it’s safe to assume most events will return each year with new content added to them.
