Cool idea. But what about pvx players? PVP only server would kill pvp on main servers.
Not all pvX players would want to play a pvp servers. Things would balance out.
World pvp is already dead on normal servers and instanced content will become cross server in 8-9 months anyway so itβs no issue

Right? Itβs insanity that AGS continues to ignore the pvp community. They wonβt even respond or give some kind of insight into what pvp has been abandoned and neglected
I think PVP servers would die after 2 weeks. I would prefer some interesting PVP modes on normal servers. Pvp dungeons (team vs team), 10min deathmatch with ready weapon sets etc
For sure they would not die and a lot of people would love to play on them.
Would be for sure that servers that dont need merges every month.
Yes true. But AGS have clearly stated they donβt want to make any new pvp content. Ever.
So this is a good compromise. Pvp servers is atleast new content for us
The people who manage the game donβt play pvp (katy even laughs and isnβt even level 60) and donβt even want to use the trading post, said by themselves.
I see the pvp server as a utopia, anyway I signed up.
Well I donβt pvpβ¦ ever, but I donβt see why each region couldnβt have one dedicated server for the full-loot, open-world sort of vicious pvp some folks really seem to want (and bitch about not having constantly). Also - might get some of the more toxic folks out of us peaceful typeβs long hairβ¦ lol
and btw, iβm having a lovely time with all the new content!
p.p.s. that is of course if thereβs actually enough folks interested in that sort of thingβ¦
signed. but i donβt think this is a good idea ![]()
What PvP on main servers?
You are giving yourself a possibility if it happens to prove you right - all we need is a try.
All the positives. ![]()
I would play PvP server. Sounds fun.
Foundations were around PvP and DS style combat. That was preview demo. AGS scrapped it hoping to capture fleeing WoW playerbase. That is what happened - so after a launch you got neither. PvE players were disappointed(as they should) and PvP engaging players were on hopium that optional flagging will work, which as we know didnβt.
Comparing PvE vs PvP players in raw numbers is just pulling numbers out of the ass in order to ignore the argument out right. Stop it.
I donβt know why youβre getting such an attitude over me voicing my view on the state of the game and other MMOs as examples.
It doesnβt matter why or when they chose to go a PvE direction as well, what matters is that they did. And it is a fact that PvP communties are always smaller than the PvE ones in any MMO (except Albion Online). I would never give actual numbers, but look at any MMO and itβs forums; youβll easily see that PvE centered stuff is discussed way more often. Iβm also not saying games with fewer players are worse gamesβ¦ again, Iβm just pointing out the obvious fact that PvP focused MMOs rarely get to numbers that more PvE focused ones do to make MY point that PvP servers would not solve any problem. ESPECIALLY long term. If anything; itβd just give AGS an excuse to ignore properly improving their PvP, faction system, and added new PvP features.
I love PvP, I also enjoy PvEβ¦ and I would like to see the game get to a point where it can make both of these aspects thrive. Locking PvP players alone in their own little servers would not be doing that. Again, this is my opinion which I do think is rightβ¦ but thatβs fair considering it is MY OPINION. Chill.
All I am saying that they made a mistake.
