wh has been fine for the entirety of game and that still stands true today
ga has been smacked around already and GA/WARhammer is pretty much meant to be used in wars and with multiple people the only thing you got is its too good in clumps and im not sure what else it would do if you take that away
glad to see that the forum never fails to double down on saying GA/WH needs a nerfs when anything else is mentioned for a nerf.
OP was literally name dropping every weapon so I helped him. Tbf I don’t think IG and VG overperforming atm either , they are at a good spot. Shockwave is one of the easiest « get out of jail free card « with a huge stunt radius. I’m fine with WH if they could reduce shockwave radius. I literally dodge backward with light armor and still in SW radius ? Other than that WH is a good place too. GA isn’t overperforming but is clearly still a S+ weapon for any content for all utilities / cc / dmg / self-sustain it brings
Nurfing is what messes it all up.
If they nurf IG then people moan and stop using it. Then the Fire staff for example is far too strong now compared so they nurf and nurf the next again and again. But now all the weapons are far too weak to even kill a turkey in one hit. Bad bad idea.
They need to make the other weapons stronger to match the damage of the weapon in question to a point that all weapons are equal enough for what they do.
Nurfing is never the answer.
They nurfed the living hell out of the ice gauntlet now it’s not even worth playing with so the game basically lost a weapon.
They need to concentrate on making all weapons equal and adding more healing weapons and abilities and perks.
As of right now AGS need to buff the IG to bring it equal with other weapons and fix the bug with the bow that’s making it way over powered
the only problem i have is WH dsyncing and stunning while they are mid air making it hard to dodge but unless you are right on them a light dodge gets out of range i’ve seen it happen a lot.
GA is definitely still good as its purpose fills the winning requirements for 2/3 game modes (war and opr) and in the last one(arena) it just needs a team that can work off of it to do well although i do notice my damage is usually less then that of my team
GA/WH is fine as it is and doesn’t need a nerf. although I wouldn’t mind it being a bit more useable as chase/solo as bloodlust is pretty much unused and charge is an escape tool and you can’t really fallow up on your gravs by yourself.
btw riposte def takes the best get out of jail free card spot.
Yea sorry I forgot rapier , riposte CD need to go to 30-40 sec. I agree with that, and why healer LA / arrows trigger a riposte ? That make no sense to me. Anyways I think we’re in the best spot we have been atm balance-wise ( still need tweak for some weapon but next patch should move things around with stronger perk on weapon so it should be interesting )
Evade is pretty potent too if used right, it’s a shorter invulnerability then dodge but that doesn’t mean it can’t be used just as well, and not only that but evade backwards and light dodge rolll that same direction gets you out of Grav-well and the follow up maelstorm without having to use 2 dodges (+ if you dodge then evade you get 30/50 stam back)
wouldn’t there? light armor would still have the highest mobility in the game. medium would have the most invulnerability potential (with the most rolls, dex would probably prefer this) and heavy would take the least damage and still have the weakest dodge in the game.
or, stop nerfing all the good weapons and instead buff weapons that arent up to par.
IG: all it has going for it is a utility tool and only can really kill if it has ice spike or if ur just a goat with the timing of ur CDs and good at hitting autos
VG: when paired with healers I guess you do have a point, but its more so the blade portion that makes them unkillable, without blade they are free picks
Firestaff: flamethrower shouldnt exist. buff the other skills except burnout
BB: ngl I think its fine the way it is, at the very most nerf net shots slow a little
sns: already getting its only good utility nerfed
bow: only thiing too powerful about it is the hitbox, u can just shoot in the general direction of ur target and headshot them, is kinda absurd.
hatchet: defy death is a little cheese and is honestly a crutch, it should either be reworked or kept the way it is. Hatchet is basically the only melee that needs all points put into dmg with little to no con to do any meaningful dmg. So naturally defy death help hatchet users stay alive just a little bit longer.
kinda agree honestly, the only thing id say is weak rn is the rapier blood tree, while the grace tree on rapier is too good at running, addressing that + buffing throwing tree which is happening next patch and I think all weapons will be relatively balanced
The only weapon that needs nerfed currently (and has been needed) is the Rapier defensive tree.
It’s a total oversight by AGS that they can’t see almost everyone is pairing every main weapon with a rapier as a secondary weapon just to escape from fighting and losing.
Bad idea as how would you ever be able to kill a tank ? Tanks have far too much health while DPS’s have little health so giving a DPS more damage being that’s what a DPS does is perfectly fine.
