A little over the top claiming waiting in que ruined your life. I took time off as well for the launch, but when the que issues come up, I went and did something else. No one forced you to stare at the que for 3 days. If anything ruined your life, it would be your gaming addiction forcing you to sit in front of your computer and stare at a que for 3 days. If you seriously feel like a game is ruining your life, then you may need to reevaluate your life a little and seek counseling.
Sounds like you need another server…
same here, now today i cut my vacation and going back to work at least i can use rest of my vacation on another game ^^
Your taking time away from work is not AGS’ fault. You know perfectly well that there are always issues at launch. You took your chances and lost. Now own in.
Lot’s of people take time of off work for MMO launches.
The spergs in this thread acting like it doesn’t happen are just being contrary.
It seems like a fundamental mistake for anyone to take time off for the launch of any modern massively online game. You only ever hear of bugs, delays and queues. Sure it sucks, but it’s almost common sense at this point.
I took the week off, and I havn’t been in queue a single time. How about you just get up early in the morning?
Rule #1 of any game launch: Dont take the 1st few days of launch off from work, wait 3-5 days for the issues to be worked out.
I have been burnt by day one experiences far too often xD
That is what many of us are trying to do : GET A REFUND !
That’s why we’re ‘moaning’ !
I’ve been trying to get a refund from Steam for days and they keep rejecting me !
We’re not moaning because we want to play this game … we’re moaning for days because we paid for a product/service that was NEVER delivered to us and would like to get our money back so that we can spend it on something that works !
We do not want to play this game ‘when’ and if they fix it, that’s not what we paid for. We did not pay 50 euros so that someday maybe we might take a look at how the game actually looks and feels and Amazon-forbid even actually play.
I personally do not care about this game anymore, already paid and started another game. Maybe I will revisit it in 6 or 12 months. But right now I would like a refund, I do not want the game to be fixed or the queues to get shorter or whatever, I just want my money back.
Thank you for your time.
Everyone who can’t get into the game at all for multiple days as they are saying must be trying to play on Valhalla or the very highest populated streamer filled server, I have had a couple wait times since I have started and had to wait like 30ish minutes but I have been able to play everyday. It just seems like people are trying to play on those servers where in every beta they also had stupid wait times because all the streamers played there and the names sound cool.
if you have issues waiting, then get teamviewer on your phone and PC,check the NW status page for estimated que time, and get into que from work, then when you come home, you can play.
one of the reasons they are avoiding increasing server, and telling people to go to other servers is this:
population 2000, mobs are being waited on already, add another 250 or 500 and you have those same people who stubbornly screamed about waiting in a queue line screaming there is no mobs to kill, but the mobs respawn at a more than reasonable rate. so screaming that they should increase the spawn rate is unrealistic.
if you really want to play, find a different server if you havent gotten to play at all.
find a different server if you character is only lvl 8.
asking people who have played for 25-30 hours and are lvl 30+ to go make a new character is something for people to get annoyed about.
booking time off from work to play a game in the first week… have you never been in a MMO game launch before? this is mild in comparison to some of them i have witnessed.
Amazon is working hard, and sorting things as quickly as humanly possible with out making completely foolish decisions like stuffing too many people onto a server at the same time. KUDOS to them for standing their ground as they have thru this games developement. we might not like it, but wisely would respect if it looked at from all angles.
Both me and my gf took a week from work, to have time to reach endgame by the end of the week, with lots of bank made and content for my youtube.
I missed the opportunity to make bank (all prices dropped after the second day, which was expected to be the peak moneymaking period, that I fully spent in the queue), missed out on 2 out of 2 wars, got in the game while my gf got reset in queue with the error: “Failed to join queue”.

NO others are right in this matter. mostly anyone who’s ever played an MMO at launch in the last 10 years knows this happens like clockwork. never take off from work on a launch day my guy, learn from this dont be upset at us.
You sound like someone who doesn’t work lol
When you take time off work, you typically take vacation time, this time is typically paid time off.
Also, most companies let you rescind your time off request and let you go back to work and get the time back.
“typically” means they may or may not have used paid time off or did you just assume they would? seen many use paid and unpaid, either way my point is still valid and correct. if it wasn’t an issue they wouldn’t be using time off as an excuse, my guy.
You try steam refund?
Typically does not mean may or may not. Typically means “in most cases; usually.”, which also means, a majority.
Plenty of people complained about taking PTO (Paid time off) to sit in queues. Their complaint is that they could have used the PTO for a different day/time when they would be able to do whatever they took the PTO off to do.
It’s okay though buddy, sometimes there can be confusion when you don’t deal with these things yourself!
EDIT: Also, you could just join a smaller population server
Regardless, most people know these things happen so complaining doesn’t do anything at all really, definitely not gonna make the queues any faster haha, amazon know what they need to do. One good thing is now they know not to do it again or else they will waste their own time
True, every post complaining about queues does absolutely nothing. There hasn’t been a single popular MMO launch that didn’t have server troubles, whether it was queues or server stability.
At least the servers are stable and don’t crash for New World.
