I have been here day in and day out on the forums defending AGS, saying they are doing their best to get things fixed. I scoffed at the numerous complaint threads. But at this point I just can’t ignore how fundamentally broken the game is, which truly sucks, because I loved a vast majority of the 400 hours I put into it.
It is clear after numerous dupes and exploits the way the game is currently coded is just not going to work. The game needs a full rework on most of its backend systems to the point where it really needs to be shut down and worked on. The base idea of the game is great, the gathering and crafting is great, everything else is honest to god mediocre or broken. I can name 20 + things off the top of my head that literally are in game mechanics, that the devs want people to use that are just broken and unfun.
Before anyone comes in here and says they are working their hardest and doing a great job let me stop you there.
- Working your hardest doesn’t mean they are fixing things.
- Doing a great job, this is a blatant lie. I do not know where the disconnect is in the development process, whether it is terrible management or inexperienced coders the fact of the matter is they are not doing a great job.
And no I am not going to bitch and moan about a refund. I enjoyed and played a shit ton and got my moneys worth many times over. I am just sad and disheartened that the game has gotten to this point.
To all the dupers and exploiters. Go fuck yourselves, you have ruined the game for 100s of thousands of people for your personal gain.
