I know weapon balance is a major complaint, but honestly thats never going to be fixed as seen so far, so i dont want that excuse to hold back getting new weapons.
Greatsword was cool and everything, but i dont want 1 new weapon release this time.
I rather get multiple new weapons at once. This way its a better chance that more play styles get new weapons to use.
I am still waiting for a new weapon to pair with shield
And a new Support Healing weapon other than Lifestaff that does decent healing. Void Guantlet was a huge miss in this area, althit provided Focus players a means to solo play. I still rather get a new main healing weapon.
I would like a Mainhand Mace weapon that functions as a new Shield combo weapon and a new Healer weapon as well, with a different way to heal allies more close ranged themed like a Paladin.
Another weapon could be Dual Daggers that has a new play style like a rogue or something
Since new weapons change the PVP dynamics quite significantly, I doubt that your request for more than one weapon to be released, at the same time, will be granted.
Personally, I disagree with your request, as having more than one weapon will just flood the forums even more with nuisance complaint posts, which is something we could all do without!
There is nothing, absolutely nothing they could do to stem the tide of constant complaining on the forums. People come here specifically to complain and they will find a reason no matter what.
Adding a new weapon to a game where you can pair it with another weapon makes a long list of things that can go wrong. More so if the split is similar to GSword where it has two primary stats.
Doubling that with two weaponsā¦too tall of an order.
Two at once would def be a bad idea. But I think 1 every 6 months should reasonable.
Iād rather see the current weapons get more attention though. Some of them would be so much more interesting/fun if half the skills and their perks werenāt completely dead.
My favorite example is the blunderbuss mortar charge skill. That skill should be a monster in pve where you have a trash pack clumped up around a tank⦠you are firing mortars into a crowd, and yet they have it tuned so it does less aoe damage than a melee weapon doing basic attacks. Dead skill. There are so many like this.
Maybe LoLās release schedule of champions
spoiled me, but I think getting more than two weapons out should be a priority. Would personally like one a quarter but three should be the real par, at least until all criteria is filled to include:
Ranged/Ammunition Focus Weapon
Melee Focus Weapon (pair with Shield)
Lightning Damage Weapon
Arcane Damage Weapon
Daggers/Dual Wielding
Once the dynamics above are implemented, I think then they could slow down on dishing them out. There are just not enough archetypes to really say āno moreā yet (especially not with Focus only having two weaponsā¦).
Ignore that then. It impacts the game for those who play it. The GS has been in play for months now and everyone knows itās way too powerful. It has impacted the game for us.
Who cares about forums? Releasing more than one new weapon at once isnāt going to make this better. At any rate, the OP doesnāt seem to really take into consideration just how much work one new weapon requires. Think about how many points of the game a weapon touches. Iād rather get one then another one than wait twice the time for two.
Yeah 1 weapon this year is a joke. And I think most people want to see daggers. They need more variety right now thatās for sure. They need a solo dex scaling weapon, focus weapon, and another pure mage weapon. Daggers will bring a lot of players back and they honestly should have maybe dropped with this ptr to hold us over.
They need to pump out a few non dps focused weapons to make tanking and heaing not dreadful then can go back to releasing weapons at a slower rate. non dps should be their priority at this point (speaking as a pure dps player)
Agreed, we need new weapons 1 every 6 months is fair. Dual daggers and Mace and Shield make a ton of sense. Both are typical MMO weapons Assassin and Paladin classes that should be implemented.
