I think mounts (confirmed) and pets should have skins we can buy.
Want a baby hippo pet? Want to ride a hippo?
How about a zebra, a wolf or a turkey skin?

I spent EXACTLY 11 seconds making my character at the launch of the game. I only had to wait 12 minutes in queue but at what cost

Yeah I used the preset which isn’t terrible, but I prefer bald options when playing game as I’m bald IRL.

Would be cool if you just can “tame” some Mobs 
Like bears or alpha/dryad wolves, elk bulls/strange elks, horses and they have different abilities like a bear isn´t as fast as a wolf, but it can carry some extra bags for items. A wolf is faster but hasn´t as much space as a bear
Taming would be a profession and mounts could give PVE buffs based on their gear score lvl.
A alpha wolve would give a skinning luck bonus and an dryad wolve a woodcutting luck bonus.
The taming level sets which mobs are tamable. So a lvl 150 Tamer can tame lvl 60+ animals and a lvl 50 like lvl 25 - 30 animals. At lvl 200 you would be able to tame like special mobs like rare elite mobs, skeleton animals or demonic animals. To tame an animal, you need to craft items first to even get a chance to tame. So to tame like epic mounts, you need a profession level of 200, a bunch of items that needed to be crafted and only get a chance of like 5-10% for an success of taming that elite mob. So high tier mounts would be like a trophy of the players but only grant PVE advantages.
Hippos could be animals animals in brimstone sands on a river.
And with skins you could buy just optic varietys or “saddles” for your mounts.
Nothing to fancy like dragons or flying mounts because i think new world isnt that much of a “fantasy” mmo like ff14, ESO or WoW.
But that´s just imho… it depends what concept AGS developed for mounts
