I will help you to balance rapier, since you are not doing anything about most broken weapon

I use int when I play healer for free mama when dodge cause I’m a cheap ass

lol But the average player has 10k health, if not less. So you don’t get anything out of healing 20k, that’s why some carry int to take advantage of the 200 int bonus and use other weapons as well.

You can’t, in order to solo a healer you have to have a specific build with healing debuffs… But thats not even a point, healer with rapier can stay immortal vs 4 ppl easily, any other weapon he is dead in few seconds.

Healing debuffs fine, you can use Plagued Crits and infected.

Not a single healer is using INT, certainly not 200 int, i don’t know where you got that from honestly…

The most “immortal” players in the game right now don’t even use rapier and lifestaff. But yes, the lifestaff is a bit broken.

Plagued crits are joke tbh and infected wont cut it if you don’t have cc, which sadly fs doesn’t have…

Tell me what ist more “Immortal” than lifestaff? Today i hitted a Guy with a lifestaff constantly in the back with a bow while he stands in his sacred ground hitting the fort door with Autoattacks. I wasnt able to outdamage his healing.

If the lifestaff is broken, there’s no arguing about that. But there are some tanks in OPR that move pretty well and have good equipment and are very hard to kill, harder than anyone using a rapier.

Good ideas, something needs to change with rapier.

Make the defensive line work on conditions not freely giving stamina and haste.

Crescendo (evades stamina) should only proc if dodging an attack, like shirking energy.

Riposte needs it’s iFrames after triggering lowered.

People are so miss informed about the rapier. It is not as strong as you think it is. Ask yoursdelf this simple question. Do you feel a rapier is unbeatable when you encounter a medium armor person or a heavy armor person using it? No ofcourse not.

It is light armor dodge which is broken. Not the rapier.
If they nerf light armor dodge then you will suddenly see that the rapier itself is not wildly unbalanced.

And get this, in a game where every weapon has CC and there is no diminishing returns on CC what so ever. The rapier is a necessary evil. Because me and many others dont want to die from chain CC because a musket 100m away staggered us allowing all the spear boys and hammers to run their endless CC chain on us and we have no control over our character and can just walk away from the computer and go make a coffee while they rape us. Because that is life without a rapier. Fuck that.

They gotta fix diminishing returns on CC and light armor dodge. but untill both of those are fixed, dont dare touch the rapier. Or I and many others will simply quit the game.

I’d say light armor and rapier are both an issue.

LAs disengage capability (specifically with melee) is a problem but rapier is also able to do this, without being dependant on LA

I’d tone both of them down slightly. If you’re engaged in a fight, it shouldn’t be so easy to escape from said fight

yeah in a 1v1 thats fine. but you know when you have 5-6 unga bungas on you there is not enough stamina to dodge all their CC. and that is the case for the majority of the time in OPR.

Add diminishing returns to CC and we can have some good pvp. untill then imma keep abusing my rapier so I can have some good pvp and still be able to outplay a 1vX situation.

I disagree, really depends on your build and play style.

Im playing light spear hatchet this patch and I’m usually 30-0 fighting in the “Zerg ball” during OPR.

If I was playing heavy I’d probably eat more cc because I’m locked into melee more with less mobility. Obviously with my build I need a front line to leach from otherwise I’d implode

DRs work and are in the game. Test it out, two of the same CCs in a row will make the 2nd half as effective.

Back to ontopic, I’m a main abuser of light armor and it’s way to strong to reset or disengage from a fight.

You imagine a balancing team testing the weapons for their damage with the different abilities, CDs, you know those things that the testers do. Not too much. It is preferable to nerf and buff without meaning, so people stop playing certain roles or are forced to play only with 3 skills because the other 3 are fucking shit, and a forced combination of two weapons because it is the most broken. Na too much work to test better throw a coin to nerf and buff.

Hold up guys you are forgetting a few things.

Not only is rapier a problem in the hands of light armor users, but there’s also shirking energy and stamina recovery that gives them even more free stamina and get away cards.

Stamina management is a huge part of any skill based game but here you don’t have to manage, just become invincible and fast.
