I will help you to balance rapier, since you are not doing anything about most broken weapon

okay I can agree its quite hard for a melee player. But that is why ranged exist right? Rapier has no substantial advantage against a ranged player no overpowered means of escape that a ranged player cant keep up with. I play rapier yes. That is why I know from first hand experience that there are many ways to kill a rapier. I’ve been using it since alpha.

Its strong against braindead CC dependant builds. Play a burst build or a dot build or a ranged build and the rapier isnt op at all. And so what if it can run away from eternity? let it run away and go cap the poin then. Whats the big deal exactly?

The problem is cheap/noob playstyle that rapier offers. If all cheap 100-0 combos were deleted, then cheap "get out of the jail cards’ needs to go too. Thats rapier, thats defy death, thats entomb… And i don’t want these to be deleted, just balanced and put to the right level. They should still provide some form of defence but not cheap “get out of the jail card” when i fucked up or when i am in impossible to survive position.

Also I only know if one guy, duph…but he has this heavy VG/rapier build that absolutely fucks.

It’s not “necessary” it’s op.

I hope once we fix the main problem ( rapier ), we can continue to fix/tweak other skills/weapons like bow, musket, ls, hatchet, ig, bb, etc… These weapons need some tuning but not almost whole tree like rapier.
