the fact your seeing so many call for server wipes after a ban wave is proof enough here. Of course banned people want the server to “start over” something AGS would never do as that is not logical. So they can “make us” start over.
People are being banned and removed from the game as we speak that is a fact. It def explains people whining and crying over stuff. calling for server wipe etc.

reroll is an option if they acted quickly. with this condition now, the best they can do is trying to remove every trace of dupe from server. i’m not sure if the majority of people will ever agree on server wipe. and even if they did server wipe, and another exploit appear, will they wipe again?

Soft server wipe/reset
Reset conquest map
Rest Banks/Gold
Reset Player Inventory/Gold, Give them 10-20k starting cash + base set of gear
Pat their butts and send them out into the fray!
This would mean people wouldn’t loose what really matters Levels in Character/Weapon/Trade
and would clear the world of all dupes and the most meaningful impacts the dupes caused.
It would also mean losing legendaries people spent hundreds of hours grinding for, something like this would do way more harm than good
Sure that’d suck losing 0.1% of the pop versus the massive drop since dupes going mainstream.
Ultimately the hardcore player base isn’t who they care about… which hurts me directly but alas I can’t merc the sheep if the sheep aren’t here to get merc-ed so idk which side I hate more.
If they dont post a list of Character Names and the server they were on, they will never regain the confidence of the player base. I personally dont believe for a second that they have a way to catch everyone and remove all the items.

Leaving aside the wording of the post, this is a valid request and I was thinking the same when I saw the announcement for the downtime.
A lie or not, would be nice to see what they’ve done to remedy the situation.
