Even worse, I spoke to support and they recommended i beg global chat and people in game, which i did for so many hours without any luck on having my name changed. - Is this a bug or an exploit: not anything

Hello @zacmak04,
We are sorry to hear of the situation with your name that has made you want to change it. Unfortunately, there is no name change option in the game at present and the only close option would be to create a new character with an entirely different name, which would require of you to restart your adventure.

ive used the same character for like a year!? cmon! I know people who go their named changed for claiming they were gonna kill themselves and/or requesting mass reports. Iāve requested mass reports and it doesnt work! Cmon
You can honestly just have about 25 people mass report your name as offensive and after a couple tries one day youāll log in and be forced to change your name. Please keep in mind that if you have been flagged or received a notice for bad behavior you could be potentially banned.
also if you have friends that report your name remember to tell them that it will unfriend/block them so just re-add after
I asked my entire server for two days straight. DMd everyone who showed up in global and I still couldnāt get it to work 
yeah it took me a while for it to finally happen but it does in fact work eventually
Yeah my characterās name is Dr. Reapist which I thought it was poetic because a doctor saves lives and a reapist believes in ending them. However, I get hate because people think I am saying rapist. I felt really bad when I was confronted by a female who was a victim of sexual assault. I had no intentions of offending the players who are survivors of sexual assault, but I am stuck with the name. Even if I could pay for a name change I would, but I feel shameful of my name. At least let me show my steam gamer tag.
Thing is, AGS would make a good amount of revenue with players being able to change their name with a Name Change token. Iāve resurrected a post about 1 month ago with some additional details that include the reasons behind the āwhyā players would want to change their name and limitations that players would have to render when their name has changed.
Sadly, it gained little to no traction other than views, however, the older post included into my latest post did gain some feedback while the CMās requested suggestions and limitations if Name Change Token were to become a thing in New World.
Update: Iāve been asking people for 3 days, most of the time i find myself annoying the same player over again, but I believe iāve received well over 50 reports. I ask everyone who shows up in chat and everyone i run across in town. It is quite an annoying process and I feel bad for bothering people, I dont think I can do this much longer with hopeā¦

I understand where you are coming from and am sorry you feel the way you do but name changes are, indeed, not available per request. Please bear in mind that even if a name gets reported it is unlikely to get any results if it is not found to be in actual breach of our naming policy.
You may want to share your feelings and thoughts in the Feedback section of the forums and, whereas this is not going to get you an immediate result, it will help to bring attention on to how name changes are something some in the community still want.
Please bear in mind you can also submit your valuable feedback In-Game by doing the following:
1- Press āEscā, select Game Menu, and then Submit Feedback.
2- Provide a description of the feedback, rate your experience, and then select Submit.
