If in a server there are 1000 players in my faction I have 300 players. Its space for only 6 companies wtf ahah imagine. Considering all the people not interested in PVP if you are lucky you get 2 companies per faction that do pvp. Is mega cringe really absolutely non sense.
Since the companies are the ones that exploit the game the most and do all sort of rmt stuff and basically blocking the access of 50% of the game to other normal players, I would open wars to the entire faction. The ones that partecipate and win will automatically form some sort of company that will split the salary for the winners equally. When defending same thing will occur. All random. If you defend you keep the territory and a new company is formed. When you subscribe to the war you will get picked up random between the rooster.
Get rid of companies, make 500k the real gold cap without having those useless companies as bank accounts and get rid of all the bs in the game.
simple faction vs faction when everyone can partecipate. This is the unique MMO that I play where you cannot even touch the pvp content if you don’t RMT because some 18yo decided so. Its absolutely ultra cringe.
I did pvp in any mmo and never found such non sense. From WOW to ESO to Mortal. Imagine… Mortal that is the most hardcore game possible and still was perfectly reasonable to do wars. Here no. What the hell?
I actually posted an idea about how to change wars and I think that AGS is slowly moving in that direction as it makes the most sense. I’ll post a link below to the forum post.
In a nutshell, it’s remove territory ownership, and wars as they currently are and have a ranked premade queueable cross-server war mode that can be queued at any time of the day or night and uses leaderboards to record wins and then depending on leaderboard numbers the winning companies at the end of a set amount of time get a gold payout.
You can also have a solo queueable none ranked version for people to get used to wars and see if they enjoy it, if they do then they can work on putting together a premade for the ranked version.
AGS thinks that making it with companies will attract more players. Actually no. Is self excluding the 90% of the player base from the content they made. And still they think is reasonable that in the current state you have to get 5 pieces for 500k each to start doing wars. Before was not like this. You could go with violet items in war and still steam roll the other players. When I was in Midgard was like this. Now without BiS you get one shotted if you do so
There are also 3 factions in the game and many PvP games going back to DAoC have shown that 3-sided PvP is much better than 2-sided at spicing things up.
Wars, OPR, and any other arenas should also be 3-sided along faction lines, not 2-sided.
I am a firm believer that Territory control, should not only have been faction based. The entire design should have allowed for any number of players, at any time of day, to engage in the design and have an impact. The current design lacks any inspiration, or creativity.
NW world isn’t the first to try and do territory control. However it has been bungled by most attempting it, even though the original planetside was the closet to well done territory control I have seen to date. Granted it wasn’t perfect, and had much room for improvement… Daybreak sadly took over, and ran it into the dirt.
No idea how this game has been out for well over a year and they haven’t figured out how to make a war mode where players can queue whenever they want. How have they not done anything yet? Everyone should be able to participate in wars the same way they participate in OPRs. The game has a bunch of code that can be repurposed to make the game more fun, but they do nothing.
They screw the game right at the release … Instead making a Faction game they went for Company …
And company delclaring War can hire other faction to defend when there are 700-800 people waiting to get in but because their gear or whatever reason, they are not taken ! Yup New World is an elitist game and AGS didn t understand anything from their mistake !
A Faction should NEVER team-up with another opposite one INCLUDED in PVE environment or dugeon too !
So I’m all for access for wars for everyone, but how would this “faction” war operate. How do you decide the 50 war slots? Who is determining groups. Is it going to be random?
The best part of competitive war is the comp, strategy and building cohesion as a 5 man group and effectively fulfilling a role for the army. I want everyone to have access to wars ( a Queable war mode would be fun) but I don’t know how faction wars would be competitive. It’s not even about the money at this point with for most people, we just like war.
If your plan is to remove 50v50 wars in exchange of something else you would be removing the only unique mode this game offers in PvP. I get your frustration of not being to access all the content, that’s on AGS, but to simply remove the Company aspect of wars and set rosters would be a death blow to a significant chunk of PvPers this game is still holding onto
Just get rid of companies owning territory at all with the game itself managing territory (town board, craft stations).
Make it purely faction based (can only queue for your own faction) with RNG selection that you can queue for solo or in squad.
Introduce seasons, have wars happen hourly or at least multiple times per day with a score counter for each territory. Rewards for participating in each war remain same.
Territories are successfully defended or flipped weekly based on score for each territory.
Weekly Reward Box with some gold, azoth vials and pvp armour/weapons.
The weekly gold reward is still linked to territory income after factoring in maintenance costs and follows current mindset of which territories are more valuable, but adjusted to suit new system (shared amongst many, rather than the few) and is sanity checked to promote positive gaming behaviour.
Season rewards for all faction members who actively participated with Gold, Silver, Bronze reward packs. Unique titles, cosmetics, emotes, housing items etc.
There is literally nothing stopping you from getting 25 people and pushing 10% on any territory.
Please add “Why you don’t RMT 2.5 mil gold gear for you and your team” and why "you don’t win the lottery for territory push when you declare war. Or why you don’t increase the server capacities with super powers

Imagine a death blow when instead of having 100 people partecipating a war you can potentially have the entire server. AHAHAH bunch of elitists defending their RMT farm when instead the game must be open to everyone. And plus on top of that, in PVP the gear should be scaled like in Gw2.
People defending the PVP of Gw2 everywhere, why? Because I can literally buy an account with boost and enter in full scale pvp within 30 minutes. Obviously is fun.

If devs wants to save the game they have to literally get rid of the elitism and open the game to the public.
And who said that I’m frustrated by not being able to do PVP. Well, 6-7 months ago I was in a guild that owned Windsward and Everfall for the entirety of their lifespan in the biggest server (Midgard) So please curb down your trolling. I don’t care if I can do pvp or not, but would be nice once in a while to queue up in a war and get picked up randomly like a normal OPR.
And plus, get rid of the money that goes only on the guild owners for god sake. Give it to the winners (50 players) split equally.
Elitism is a fail: Look at Mortal Online, the most elite game possible, and well, it’s a fail. Max 2k players playing. You wanna make money as a game studio? Target the real audience not the elite cringe kids. And stop listening their BS. They made those Leaderboards because some random kids spammed it was a good idea. Well guess what, those players have left the game already.

Actually the best part is playing. Sadly more than 90% of the players they would never join one war and who is gonna play “competitive” anyway? Even the top guilds enter in wars to have fun.
I really can’t think of a bigger mess and a worse gamemode than 50vs50 casual randomized New World wars without any organized groups and without comms.
Again this will kill your active PvP war players. I don’t want to lose the ability to fight with my 50. I’m fine if they remove the territory ownership. I’m not ok with fighting in unorganized wars with random people. Does not sound fun if that’s the only way war works

Join a pvp company today and you have to run an hour of territory everyday. (wins my pve heart) Besides constantly doing OPR or 3v3 and most of you enjoy that for a while…
Basically everyone has to go back to pve once in a while. As THIS is an MMORPG. This is not PUBG or APEX. Or any midevil type of PVP game.
If you do the same content everyday… it gets boring. Force people into companies? XD Wow… Thats HORRIBLE. I am a community player. I enjoy TO NOT find random players in my company chat. Its like you force us into single player… and i really don’t mind certain way… but we don’t even have the option to create “communities” then. Which is simply hilarious to make those dependend on third party tools like discord.
The friend list is not an option to play with your friends and communicate leisurely. And convenience is key.
I understand if people don’t enjoy certain aspects of the game anymore… after grinding it for months. Its just hilarious to destroy basic gameplay because of that.
I am expecting companie banks so that we can share, shareable equipment. But otherwise companies are what they are. We could literally reduce their size … or have company encampments where company activities boost certain levels or enables temporary buffs… like… instead of a town buff i would prefer to make these buff company specific. So that peoples activities can enable them… not the coin purse.
You are talking about territory wars… and the attraction of owning a territory. Fact is most people don’t care about pvp or owning a territory.
Currently mainly because nobody thinks there is a hardware restriction. >:> most of the players can’t play wars without having serious draw backs. I myself am one of them. And its mostly because this game is CPU based… and my graphics card can be as good as it is… but it does jack . I run wars with my Ryzen 5 1600 in 10 to 15 fps. And in player vs player it can go down… if i stay out of the clump however i can literally still reach like 30.
How many people do you think can even afford a new cpu currently?
For how many people do you want wars to happen?
Most of the people are turned off a game because the hardware threshhold is too high.
If this is pvp oriented … its too high.
If this is pve oriented well we can reach solid FPS numbers. And that means keeping companies to not run around without being able to talk to your friends in a community setting.
