sidenote: was having this issue very frequently, but once I upgrade the pylon to refresh the cd on hit, I haven’t had the issue since, curious if anyone else has noticed this

I fixed the issue by killing myself. Nothing else suggested here let me respec or swap weapons

Same here.

I have the skill fully upgraded and I’ve had it happen even during the earlier levels.

The only thing that seems to fix it is to kill myself, not even a relog corrects the issue.

Same bug here only solution is relog for me but is a big problem when you are in a dungeon.

I am having the same bug, as a main ice gauntlet user, this is a game-breaking bug for me. I died many times due to this bug ( was mauled by enemies while waiting for the bug to fix itself ).
When the ice pylon is cast, whether it is expired or destroyed, the skill icon will be greyed out thus unable to recast it or unequip this weapon, the skill will be set on 10 seconds ( default cd ) cooldown after a random amount of time. This bug occurs randomly, but frequently.

Now I am stuck wearing a broken weapon.

i just had the same issue occur today and the only way i could find i thought to correct it was to die. this only allowed me to finally swap weapons. the problem now is even after swapping weapons to hatchet, war hammer and 2h axe, that slot remains in permanent cool down not allowing me to use any skill from any weapon that has a skill in that slot.
this is a HUGE problem that needs to be addressed immediately!

EDIT: this morning i did a file integrity check on STEAM. upon logging back into game i made sure i did NOT have ice gauntlet equipped and everything was back to rnomal. been playing for a bout an hour with no issues. i did NOT re-equip the ice gauntlet

Same problem today. Logged out to fix and got a 50 person queue at 3:00 in the afternoon…

I had the same issue today. I thought a previous patch note had fixed it.

I logged out and logged back in, and the Ice Pylon was no longer on cooldown, but as soon as I tried to cast it, there was the cast animation on my character, but with no pylon in the animation, and no pylon created. Then the spell was back to being grey again.

When I log out and back in, I can’t change the spell in the spell slot even when the spell is coloured in.

Update:

I left it 30 mins and restarted new world, and I got the spell back. Cast it a town once, and it came back off cooldown. Used it again, and it’s back on prema-cooldown again. It’s the time that bring the spell back, not the full exit, as I just tried a quick reboot.

Same issue here, noticed it seems to happen more often if you place pylon and move out of range, 80-100+ meters it does not trigger the cooldown timer and gets stuck

Ability to recover: after 15+ minutes of logging out of game, skill becomes reset to usable, otherwise skill becomes unusable if quick logout and quick weapon removal are not done(within 10 seconds of character login)
