Any melee class gets basically rooted in place for 7 FULL seconds while 1 dude or the entire enemy team just throws ranged auto attacks at you. ITS WAY TOO STRONG OF A CC FOR A CLASS THAT CAN STILL FUCKING 1 SHOT…

If you get catched by an ice shower then you might want to rethink how you play.
I have big problems to catch a decent player in the ice shower. Mostly i only use it to kit the enemy around it but thats it. Cant even remember when i catched someone last time in the ice shower to be honest.
If you get catched in the ice shower then you must press W literally all the time and play agressive i guess.
Please post your full gear set, because you should not be oneshotted at all anymore.
Ive played IG, its VERY EASY to catch people in ice shower. Stop downplaying how much skill it takes, its not hard at all
Stop upgrading how much skill it takes. It is hard to catch an at least decent player in it for sure.
I guess you are just mad while playing melee but not being careful at all and you get catched by the shower.
There is many ways to avoid it.

I don’t find it fair that some weapons have root and others have a stun. Root, you are stuck in one place and you can shield up but it’s not hard to break stamina ( not to mention that after it breaks you are basically stunned.) With a stun you can’t do anything but you can freely do whatever after one shot. Either give all weapons a root ability or don’t.

If you getting caught by ice shower easilly then you must change your play stlyle. It’s not that hard to avoid it just a tiny line
This is only true if you are a bruiser due to 150 STR passive, as a mage it is much harder to break a block. Also Scream does not work against a block, so it nullifies the root.
same with stuns… So why not give everyone root.

Lets just fix this issue, and replace Ice Shower with Gravity Well then no-one will complain anymore.
Yes, your tiny line pop up under everyone when we are attacking people in OPR. And also under effect of scream by VG. Tell me how to avoid it. It’s easy to avoid 1v1 or 1v2 but you are playing in OPR where other tons of CCs to avoid, your stamina is only enough for 2 to 4 dodge. Yes, you can avoid easily if you are a range player or a mage where you dont have to go near them to attack.
Just so you know, ice spike can still one shot, it’s just extremely unlikely that you get all 4 hits now.
4 shots isn’t even close to a one shot to non troll builds anyway
It can be if you accrue a few stacks of disintegration first and the put an oblivion down after you’re rooted.
It’s possible. Just not likely to happen outside of very rarely.
I’ve actually considered dropping shower, it’s that easy to avoid (and other IG abilities are that bad). If you go in axe blazing then you deserve to get smoked. Learn how to bait it out, walk around it and then you have half a minute to not worry about it again.
It’s a strong ability but it’s also balanced. Don’t confuse strong with OP.
It’s not easy to drop an Ice Shower on someone in ordinary circumstances.
It’s very easy to drop an Ice Shower on someone trapped in one or more Gravity Wells or Ice Storms. (And let’s be honest, the meta in this game has always been to bury the other side in non-interactive CCs.)
Fact is, dropping an Ice Shower close enough to someone who is already Frostbitten or Slowed to force them to move in a different direction is pretty much always fatal. After all, you cannot dodge through an Ice Shower reliably anymore. I mean, you cannot even dodge at all in many of these cases.
That’s like 3 skill, can it still be considered as a one shot.
