Here is an idea for devs and would help eliminate camping and bots. It would also encourage players to venture the wilderness more randomly instead of doing the same repetative route over and over and over.
Each tree node would spawn at a random time and random type tree. i.e. It would spawn as a common tree 75% of the time as a Wyrdwood tree 20% of the time and an Ironwood tree 5% of the time.
You could also do the same with Iron Ore, Starmetal, Orichalcum and
Silver, Gold, Platinum.
Wouldnt that end up with Wyrdwood and Ironwood trees everywhere because not everyone has the required level to cut them down?
Anyway, just go out and mine Boulders for stone for 4 hours straight and sell it on the market and buy Wyrdwood that would have taken you 20 mins to gather yourself. This game is not about fun, its about hard work!
Yep, the game is becoming more WORK than FUN and when that happens it is no longer a GAME…
This was my first real try at a MMO game. Think I will go back to my Strategy games where I actually feel I can get rewarding game play in 1 or 2 hour stints.
Yes, Wyrdwood and Ironwood all over. Would encourage more randam routes by the Level 60 charachters. Who wants to go to the same place to day the same thing so many times it makes your eyes blurry and wrists sore. From 10,000 clicks.
Now I see why people play this game for years. I have been playing for 10 months and outside of the initial grind to Level 60 I feel I have accomplished very little because of the grind to include low level mats to craft higer level items.
i.e. To create an Ironwood Plank you need. Wyrdwood (which requires green & mature trees). So in the end if you want to make Ironwood Planks you need to farm Wyrdwood adn a lot of green and mature trees.
Oh, yeah and if you can’t find/farm Wyrdwood or Ironwood you can harvest more green wood and mature wood and sell it to buy Wyrdwood and oh, yeah harvest some more common wood to buy Ironwood. …
Actually this is kinda a fun and cool idea, but the rate should be much lower, maybe 1/100 chance for Wyrdwood trees, 1/1000 for Ironwood trees. Same with Iron, Silver, Gold, Starmetal, Lodestone, Orichalcum Veins.
