I’m truly surprised that in a game w/out a monthly fee and a one time pay that the cash shop doesn’t offer more options. Honestly, I would have thought it would have much more to offer. I do love the fact that all they focus on at the moment is fluff/cosmetic stuff and that I have yet to see anything on their that comes off even remotely as P2W. However, I’m surprised at the lack of options. Not everyone wants to buy a preset skin, although some are pretty cool looking. Here are some other ideas:
Allow for money an ability to alter your appearance. Whether it’s hair/skin/sex etc. Why not? None of those things effect game play and I personally would love to alter the appearance of my character.
Allow for a skin transfer. Say I get a piece of gear that I love the look of when I am leveling up, but it doesn’t have the stats I like. Now I could put that piece away, pay a small fee, and transfer that skin to an item I will use. That would give people multiple options for skinning their characters, other than the preset options currently.
Effects/glowies- Another option for weapons or even gear would be to allow people to purchase a particular glowy or special effect you could put on your weapons or even gear. Just little touches that people will pay for. I remember spending so much time earning a black glow effect for my weapons on another game I used to play.
I don’t think any of the above would take much to code as all are in many other games and have been for a long time. They also would not effect game play at all or performance. I personally would buy at least a few things on here. It would also add some more $$ to AGS.
Especially with how expensive they are…
Theres no reason they should prevent dyeing it just because they want to recolour and reuse them later.
That’s no excuse and a total rip off.
I don’t care if they can only be dyed with ‘premium store dyes’, just LET US CUSTOMIZE THE SKINS. This is an MMO basic… Even games like Monster Hunter, Ark, Lost Ark, and more have the capability.
Lots of cool things could be added to the cash shop like chests that increase your storage, animal head taxidermy wall mounts, more house pets ect ect…
This is the first MMO I have ever played with such truly ugly cash shop skins. People will pay for cosmetics - stylish skins, weapons effects, trails, mounts, etc. - but not ones like those currently offered.
I’ve stopped playing over storage issues. There is NO WAY I am coming back if I have to pay for additional storage. I am not a fan “create problems in the game and sell the solutions in the cash shop.”
I just want to play around with my character and make them look like the character he is based on.
