Have a nearly maxed toon GS and Tradeskill wise; still plan to roll a fresh start while keeping my main.
Was dreading doing it all again but been what I see from PTR notes dont think it will be so bad regrinding. Mainly want to do it to play with friends who didnt play the last time or quit cause of the launch conditions the first 2 weeks
I played at launch and fizzled around lvl 40. I didnt like the zone I was in, these forums were cancer, there were cheats everywhere, getting resources was difficult because of bots and so disappointingly quit.
A fresh server start is appealing. After reading some positive comments about the state of the game, I would likely come back and start again.
I hope they do provide a completely clean slate for new players especially, I just hope they just don’t end up filled with other’s whose motives are simply to get a kick start.
I dump on it occasionally but it’s a great game and they are obviously proactive responding to feed back.
I will be waiting until the whole levelling experience is revamped not just 1 - 25, I am currently practicing on the old servers just now by levelling all the trade skills, fresh start after 25 - 60 is done makes much more sense, 1 - 25 will go by in no time with the new levelling xp, then you are back playing the same half baked story quests with missing voice acting etc.
Having maxed all the skills to 200 plus, completed all of the worthless legendary gear quests (which were epic), having maxed character to 60, maxed gear to 625, maxed out all the weapons to lvl 20, and completed all of the quests, I do not foresee doing that grind all over again on a brand new server just for some new quests, one new area, and a weapon I wont use.
Although I did create a lvl 60 character on the public test server with all of those things already maxed out (just to match my actual character) and it has been nice having a new area to quest in and also some cute little added quests in the existing areas to go and do…
And its actually able to mostly be done solo.
Which its about time the devs figure out that there are people who just like to play a game without having to need groups every time they do a quest.
But I am sure there will be a ton of nerfing and buffing (like always) in this game.
The great sword, I am not all that impressed with and went right back to my sword and shield and hatchet combo relatively quickly.
While it may be some people’s cup of tea, its not mine…
I would love to see the devs focus more on the sword and shield and give better weapons there.
All that being said, if you have never played the game, the new things I mentioned above are going to be something to keep your interest longer in the beginning as compared to what we all had.
Its the grinding and requirements for levelling everything that is a huge turn off.
If I could just take my character as it sits currently, I would be down 100%
I dont even play the game (haven’t in months) because there is nothing to do.
So the public test realm has been nice (again, my character matches my own) and so I have been enjoying it and meeting some really cool people.
The market sucks, but eh, dont they all after about a month.
While I think this is the devs “solution to bots” it really is just a band aid.
But, it is better than nothing (like a lot of other game devs) at least they are trying for what its worth.
Unfortunately, games like this just rinse and repeat.
Not the devs fault, its just the nature of the beast, facts.
Surely, my friends that have quit or want to try the game would jump in also. Right now they don’t wanna play on servers where people are already year ahead. Tbh they could add fresh servers every now and then - without trasfers for a period of time - just so that new people would have better experience. You should still be able to leave that server on demand if you wanna join “big boy” servers
not at all i have no bussiness in fresh servers
im a casual player
i dont gain anything at all by joining fresh start
try hards ( ppl who play more than 10+hours a day ) would be the top dog in there in 3 weeks
im already content with my server and my character
i dont need another character to play NW
because i can play whatever i want with the character i own rn
swiching classes with weapons is awesome
NW rules !!!
Yes, I’ll be deleting my fishing master L60 alt to start again at L1 on a fresh start server. New player experience 1-30, revamped zones, revamped faction stuff including faction outposts, hopefully some anti-shell company changes, fresh economy that isn’t pre-inflated…
Yes, it is the only thing that would motivate me to play again.
I’ve been playing since the launch and currently I have 3 houses with all their trophies to the maximum and close to the money cap but the current game does not motivate me and if it is necessary to delete the character to start on a fresh server I would delete it
Absolutely. I stopped playing after I hit 60 and was tired of farming GS. It’s been long enough that I don’t even know where to begin when I log onto my character. That and so much has changed, i’m going to start fresh and treat it like a new game.
Idk I also quit the game because grinding watermark was horrible, but free dungeon runs and gypsum makes the game sound a lot more palatable. Looking forward to starting again on a fresh server
